Distressed Embossed Pattern Paper Card

Hi Everyone,
Today I used a technique that I saw over at Gina K Designs called Distressed Embossed Pattern Paper. Maybe a lot of you know about this technique, but it is new to me. My paper is a two toned purple striped paper that came from that stash of mine. I ran it though a SU embossing folder and then distressed it with SU's Elegant Eggplant ink. I used SU's Certainly Celery ribbon as well as the card base. My sentiment is from Gina K Design's Love Notes set and was cut out and matted with both oval and scalloped oval Nestabilities. I sponged the image with Lavender Lace ink from SU. It was a pretty easy card to make, but I do like the effect you get with this technique. Enjoy your Saturday, see you tomorrow.

  1. This is gorgeous Donna! I love how you did that background, and I'll have to check it out! It really adds some beautiful dimension to your card!
Have a super weekend and stay warm!!

  2. I like the effect on the background paper. You said it was easy to make, but it looks like you put a lot of effort in the design. It works!

  3. Beautiful effect with the sponged image and these colors are lovely together.

  4. This is stunning! I love the color and will have to check out the tutorial at StampTV!!

    :) Thanks for sharing !!
