A Rusty Card

Hello Everyone,
Another week is starting today and it is gloomy here in southeastern Massachusetts, but hoping for some sunshine soon. Today's card is definitely a CAS card. My card base is Basic Black and I added a piece of Really Rust that I ran through the Big Shot with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
For the focal area of the card I ran a piece of Whisper White card stock through another Cuttlebug embossing folder and then brayered the Really Rust over the embossed areas. My sentiment and it's matted paper are both cut out with graduating Square Nestabilities. I sponged the edges of the sentiment piece, again, with Really Rust. All of the card stock today is from SU. I added some square embellishments that I've had forever to finish it off. I thought this qualified as a masculine card. Somewhere I read that the heroes mentioned that we send many more feminine cards than masculine ones, so I am trying to make more masculine cards lately. We have to service the needs of everyone. Wishing all of you a wonderful day even if the sun is not out. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. This is a great guy card, and I love all the great coloring and embossing! Your sentiment panel is perfectly sponged too, adding lots of appeal! I try to add more masculine cards too with each box I send off!
Wishing you a sunny day......even if you have to wait 'til tomorrow. It's gloomy in PA today too :(

  2. You really do a nice job on the embossing. It is a great masculine card. Sorry to say -- it is sunny and warm in the desert today. I think of you and wish some your way. Thanks for sharing.
