Something Different

I tried something a little different for me today. I used preprinted vellum on a card which I have never done before. My card base is Whisper white and then I layered this already printed vellum paper on top of Pretty In Pink CS. I added a sentiment from Gina K Designs Love Notes set. That is a great set and I use it quite often for my OWH cards as well as my cards for my Hubby. I added a double layer of SU's Photo Corner punched pieces and the Scallop Trim Border Punch along the bottom. I finished it off by adding a little bling to the wing of the butterfly in the form of a little sparkle gem. I'm not too crazy about this card, but I did like the preprinted vellum so hopefully some hero will like it enough to send it back home - And, after all, it's not all about me. LOL

My second card is just a CAS masculine card. I used SU's Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip card stock. Boy I'm getting hungry and neither of those items are on my diet. Darn!. I also found a pack of sample designer papers that I received a long time ago from Creative Memories. All the papers in that stack have a masculine look to them. YEA! I finished the card off with three Antique Brads from SU. . I was happy with the end result on this one.

Don't forget that OWN's Spring Blog Hop starts March 5th, so get ready to do some hopping. Thank you for spending time here today.

  1. Great cards today Donna! That printed vellum is so gorgeous and really makes a beautiful card! The 2nd one is fantastic with those awesome colors, and I think that sentiment is the one I use the most for all my OWH cards! Nice job!
