Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge #61

Good Morning and Happy Spring,
I so look forward to Sunday mornings now so I can design a card using a specific layout for the challenges over at OWH Stars & Stamps. My card base for today's card is SU's Whisper White. First I ran it through the Big Shot with the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing folder, then I outlined the edges with a Faber Castell Gold Pen. The purple and silver papers were made by me with Tim Holtz alcohol inks. I embossed the silver paper with the same Swiss Dot ef that I used on the card base. I really love to make my own papers. I also made the background gold paper and the larger heart with the alcohol inks. It's nice to have a one of a kind paper once in a while. I used SU's gold paper for the center strip because it just seemed to show up better than the paper I had made. I punched that strip out with a Martha Stewart heart punch. The Love You sentiment is from SU's Teeny Tiny Wishes, and punched out with SU's Word Window punch and matted onto SU's Modern Label punch. The Always sentiment on the smaller heart was computer generated. The two hearts are punched from a Creative Memories punch set. The little hearts that I scattered around were the cut out parts from a "practice" heart strip I punched out in white. No sense wasting anything, huh? Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by.
I just noticed, after previewing this post, that I some how ended up with a little dot of white paper stuck to the center of this card, but time is getting short and I have to go shopping at my local craft store get home in time to watch the NSCAR race, so I decided not to retake the photo. A Card Maker I am - A Photographer I'm not.
