Two Mice in One Day

Hi Everyone,
This is my second posting for today. A friend of mine knows someone that is going to be deployed shortly so I decided to make a card for her to send to him. This is what I came up with. I started by stamping this Cocoa Stamp and colored it with Copics. I think I'm becoming addicted to him and this stamp, in particular, seems so appropriate for someone in the service as you can add so many little sentiments in the body of the letter. This sentiment and the one inside, which reads "looking forward to your safe return home" are both from a-muse Hero Mail stamp set. Then I cut him out using Circle Nestabilities. I lightly stamped stars, also from the a-muse Hero Mail set, on to some Purely Pomegranate (a retired SU color) paper. Mounted that on to some designer paper. It looked OK but I thought it needed more so I matted it again onto SU's Crumb Cake card stock and then added stitch lines here and there to add a little punch. I am very happy with the way this one turned out so I may duplicate it for myself to send to a hero in my next box that is going out to OWH. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

  1. I just love this patriotic little Cocoa card! I love how you stamped the white stars on the pomegranate and added the white dots around the circle! What a wonderful way to say thanks to someone serving our country!
