A Red Poppy

Good Morning,

Red, White and Black are the colors of my card today. This beautiful Poppy image, that I colored with Copics, was a free Digi image from Beccy's Place. If you've not been to her blog, do yourself a big favor and visit there today. She has fabulous digi's that she so generously offers for free. Thank You Beccy. I started with white card stock that I ran through the Big Shot using the SU Square Lattice embossing folder after I had rubbed Momento's Lady Bug Red ink over one side of it. I really like the effect you get using this technique with this folder. I mounted that onto some black card stock and then onto a white card base. I used Classic Oval, Scalloped Oval and Banner Nestabilities on this card. The sentiment is from a SU set titled Three Little Words. I stamped it with VersaMark and then embossed it using Detail White powder. I added two little pearl gems on the banner just for a finishing touch. I hope that the recepient of this card gets a nice warm feeling knowing the he or she is missed. It is suppose to be nice here today, so out in the yard for a while and then back to card making (if I have the energy) Thank you for spending a few minutes here today. See you tomorrow.

  3. Just found this. I wanted to see how you used Beccy's images. This would make a wonderful Mother's Day Card for next year.
