Hello - Hello

Hi All,
Today I am posting a card I made using one of Operation Write Home's Sketches from a few weeks back. If you have not been on OWH's blog lately please take a minute to do so. They are a wonderful organization that sends hand made cards over to deployed military personnel so that they can send these cards back to their loved ones stateside. They don't necessarily have a PX or other stores around to purchase cards from so OWH makes it possible for our heroes to keep in touch with their families though cards of all types. It is so hard on the family members to have their loved ones away from home for so long. A simple "hello" card is a nice gift to receive in the mail. If you have any extra cards you've made hanging around, or you have a few minutes here and there, maybe you could sit down and make a couple of cards for our heroes. Please think about it.
Anyway I ran three pieces of card stock through the Big Shot using different types of embossing folders. The forth square is a piece of Rice Paper that I purchased at a local Art Supply Store near me. I just popped on a flower and brad and I was done. The sentiment is actually a Rub-On. I'm happy with this card and I just hope the recipient with be also. Have a great day. I'll see you tomorrow.

  3. I love embossing panels like this, because the resulting card looks fabulous! I love that big peach-colored flower accent too - it's so pretty! I received your beautiful card today, and thanks so much for thinking of me. You're such a thoughtful person :)
