S & S Sketch Challenge #87

Hello Everyone,

I am finally getting back to card making and posting. Today over at Stars & Stamps Blog our challenge was to follow the above sketch. I flipped the sketch to make it work better for me. My sentiment pieces are from a retired SU set titled Absolutely Fabulous. The butterflies are from a MS stamp set and colored with Copic Markers. I made the background paper using alcohol inks and I added little rhinestones to each block for some added little punch. I had fun with this sketch. It will, of course, go into my next box of cards going to Operation Write Home which I plan on shipping out tomorrow. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't sent cards out to them in over two months, but I plan on getting myself into gear starting today. I already have some ideas floating around in my little head for my next box, which will probably be mostly holiday cards. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by here today. See you soon.

  2. Donna,
I really love the background paper you created. I haven't given alcohol inks a try yet, but seeing beautiful results like yours makes me think I should dive in and give them a try. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I like the way you creatively notched the corners and added the eyelets on this card Donna. I have such a hard time envisioning anything asymmetrical but I alway like it so much when I see others do it. Nice!

  4. I love those colorful little butterflies and the way you split the sentiment into two panels! The notched corners with bling really add an interesting eye appeal! Nice to see you creating again my friend, and I'm looking forward to seeing more in the future :)
