A Doctor's Thank You

Good Friday Afternoon,
My card today is one that I made for my doctor that "fixed" my two frozen shoulders yesterday by manipulation under anesthesia. It WORKED just fine. This morning I was actually able to comb and curl the back of my hair, something I haven't been able to do in months without extreme pain. I had even resorted to a short spiked hairstyle that I could, at least, manage. Believe me it was not a pretty sight. I still have to go through another two weeks of intense therapy, but I am so very happy with my results that I just had to make the doc a card. I used a stamp from Inkadinkado. I stamped it with SU's Crumb Cake ink and sponged the edges with SU's Certainly Celery while still in the Nestabilities die. I ran my gold Uni-ball pen around both dies to give them some definition. The designer paper is from DCWV The Winter Combo pack. I just love that pack. I stamped the retired SU sentiment stamp, in VersaMark and then embossed it with Black embossing powder. the blue card stock is Pacific Point from SU.
thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow. Enjoy your evening.

  1. You are so much like me it's funny :) I made my doctor a thank-you card too after he replaced my hip back in 2010! LOL I know it feels wonderful when your pain is relieved, and I'd imagine doctors seldom get thank-you cards from their patients either, so I know this will make him feel as good as he's made you feel! I'm so glad he's helped you and you're able to move with more flexibility! Great card, and I love that diagonal striped dp! Keep getting stronger :)

  2. Glad to hear you're feeling better. What an appropriate card for a man, with great colors. You do such neat embossing, something I haven't mastered yet. Take care and enjoy a pain-free weekend.

  3. Beautiful, Donna! I have some of that striped dp but had forgotten it in the stash. You've inspired me to dig it out and do something with it! So glad to hear about your shoulder improvement.

  4. Hi Donna, I just read your post (after seeing your beautiful TY card); I didn't know you had two frozen shoulders! My mom had one and it was awful-but two? Bless you for all the beautiful cards you've made in spite of it. I'm so glad the dr. was able to help you!
