S & S Mid Week Throw Down

YAY For Me!!! Two posts in two hours. That has to be some kind of record for me. This card was made for the Stars & Stamps Mid Week Throw Down where they challenged us to use a Digital Image on our cards. My image is from DeeDee's Digis, who I'm very sorry to say has gone out of business, which is a shame because she had some lovely images as well as some real cute ones. So I colored the image with light shades of green and blue Copics and cut it out with a Square Nestabilities. I drew a black line around the image, with a Spica Pen, while it was still in the die. The designer paper is from a retired SU pack. My card base was embossed with a Heart embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The sentiment is also retired from SU. Boy I use a lot of retired things, huh? I added a little bit of bakers twine. I would have liked to use some black and white twine, but I did not have any on hand. I probably have it, but who knows where it is. I either have to find it or buy some more. Even though I used pastel colors on the image I still think this could qualify as a unisex card. Well I think that will be it for me today, see you tomorrow. Thanks for spending some time here with me today.

  1. So many uses for this card. Love the images. Don't feel guilty about buying cards. I took some classes from Kevin at Stampscapes years ago and he told us that if he went to a party and didn't have a handmade card, friends actually got mad! Yikes........

  9. I really like this card. The blue and green go great together. Very refreshing and calming feeling. Like the edging at the bottom of the panels too - may have to try that on one of my cards sometime. I am following your blog now, my pic is actually my black Chihuahua, Roxie, sleeping under the covers with her head on my pillow! :)
