SNSDC29 All About Birds

It is a beautiful Friday morning here which made it extra nice to work on a card about birds. Earlier this morning I was just sitting watching the birds and squirrels coming to their feeders on the deck. For this challenge over at SNS Digi Challenge is decided to use the Blue Bird image. I colored it with Copic Markers and used both square and scalloped square Nestabilities as well at the Cherry Lynn French Pastry Doily. I went with SU's Pacific Blue and So Safron colors on this card. I also embossed the card base with a Tim Holtz embossing folder. Tiny dots of stickles for the flower centers and used some Glossy Accents on the bird's nose put the final touches to this one. I decided to leave it without a sentiment as I felt it could be used for just about any occasion. It will go in my next box for Operation Write Home as I have already started spring cards. I hope you find this one pleasing, I have to say that I was kind of happy with the turn out. Thanks for spending time here with me today. I appreciate it very much.

  3. Donna, I love that embossing on your background! Fab color combo, too. Do you know what the pattern name is on the Tim Holtz folder? I just have to get that one! Hugs.

  4. What gorgeous coloring you did with this bird and matching flowers! The way you used squares and a doily together looks amazing! That bricked embossing is one of my favorites, and it's the perfect background for this beautifully colored bird! This is an AWESOME card, and I thank you for playing along with the SNSDC!

  5. Donna, the coloring you do on your images is really beautiful! Those Cherry Lynn doilies are so pretty - Santa can you hear me? and that Tim Holtz embossing folder really looks good underneath. I have no talent for coloring, but I do have a bunch of vintage bird images, and I think your card has just got my bird MOJO going!
