MWT - Thank You Dixie

Hello Everyone, Today over at OWH Stars and Stamps they have requested Thank You cards for our heroes to send home to their loved ones. This is also honoring Dixie, our fabulous East Coast Shipping for the past two years. Dixie we will miss you but at least we can get to see more of your creations on your blog. It's a new year coming so we will be breaking in Caro, our terrific new shipper in a big way now that the holidays are over. Beware Caro!

So I used a new Gina K stamp set, that I got for Christmas, titled Dogwood and Butterfly. This set is so nice and delicate, I just love it. I colored it with my Copics and cut it out using Nestabilities. The designer paper is from a retired pack from Stampin Up and the ribbon is also from SU. I'm back into my CAS mode for now, trying to fill up a box to ship out to Caro real soon. I hope you are all having a nice day and hope to see you again soon. Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a couple of minutes here with me.

  3. Hi Donna,
Thanks for the nice comments! I think you card is also fabulous and I love that we are all thinking of Spring and light happy colors! I was burnt out with Christmas, for sure.

It made me laugh when you asked about my Mom, as she is not very crafty and has NO desire to learn or try.

Years ago she was more craft and would knit the cutest sweaters, hats and mittens for my boys and she also took some cake decorating classes, way back, but never kept up with it.

Although I sitll consider myself new to card-making and such (started in November 2006), I have also love to draw, doodle and color!! It's since become a great passion and now I LOVE it, as you know.

PS: I just found out that there is a new 12 marker set of Copics coming out in February and two are Violet shades...so not doubt, I'll be wanting to add them! :)

Hope to see you in the CAS Card class! I'm looking forward to it!!

  5. This is such a pretty card! I love how you outlined the die cut which really defines the beautiful floral image, and the crochet lace is a lovely accent!
I see we both survived the Christmas holiday - here's hoping we can also manage the new year too! Have a great Thursday!

  17. Donna, I love your card! I haven't been on much since Christmas so I checked out all of your card before this one too. Your cards are all just lovely! I am really impressed with your use of a gold pen to add some touches of shine to your cards. It looks so elegant. Happy New Year!
