Here I am back again. WHEW - two post in 4 hours. I like it when I can get on a roll like this. Operation Write Home's Stars and Stamps Blog has challenged us to use the sketch above to make our cards this week. I had fun with this one and I challenged my eyes coloring these small flowers with my Copics. I cut the images out with a SU punch and then edged them with a Copic Marker. The green paper is from my stash. The card base was embossed with a Sizzix folder. The ribbon is from Michaels and I've had it for about 6 years and this is the first time I've used it. As hard as I tried this morning I could not seem to get a good picture, but this card does look much more vibrant IRL. Thanks for spending some time here and if this is your second trip today, an EXTRA thank you for coming by twice in one day.
You're really on a roll this morning with another pretty card! Fantastic ribbon and love the way you did that.
ReplyDeleteAnother great card.

Love what you did with this sketch, Donna! Until I saw your card, I just could NOT figure out anything to do with it. Fabulous ribbon!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you did the ribbon on this one, Donna! The overall color scheme is one of my favorites- it's the colors of my living room! :)
ReplyDeletePurple is my favorite color ever. :) I love your card! And I love the square scalloped punch. Way to think outside the square. Heehee.
ReplyDeleteThose graceful little images are perfect for this sketch challenge, and I just love that deep purple color! (like Nancy said above, it's my favorite color too) See that, you were saving that ribbon for the perfect card, and today was that day! It's a match! Great card!
ReplyDeleteLove your flower stamps. Very delicate and wispy looking. Love that look.
ReplyDeleteI see PURPLE and that's all it takes for ME to love your Sketch Card!! Great job...I'm way behind, but did finally get mine done. I have taken on a bit TOO many projects, but it's all crafting, so I'm a Happy Girl.
ReplyDeleteHow about our Team...! Yay PATS!!!!
Very pretty, Donna! I love these spring=y colors!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny about the ribbon...it's my favorite part of the card! Love the colors and great sketch card.
ReplyDeleteGreat card. I love the stamped flower images and the purple embossed cardstock along with the fabulous ribbon.

Beautiful take on the sketch Donna! I hear ya about challenging you eyes on coloring the small flowers. Sometimes that's more challenging than the actual challenge. You did a great job on that and the outlining. Love the ribbon and so perfect for this card and the color you chose.
ReplyDeleteLove the flowers and the multi-colored bow. Pretty card!
ReplyDeleteThose scalloped squares are a terrific idea, Donna! Love this!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the sketch challenge Donna! Two posts in 4 hours is amazing. (I'd be hard pressed to manage two posts in one week I think, LOL.) I especially love the ribbon. I find myself attracted to the printed ribbons in the $1 bin at my Michael's but I've forbidden myself from collecting any more because i never seem to find a good way to use them. This inspires me to finally try to use them up once and for all!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute, Donna! Love the use of the scalloped squares. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
