S & S Sketch Chellange #104

Here I am back again. WHEW - two post in 4 hours. I like it when I can get on a roll like this. Operation Write Home's Stars and Stamps Blog has challenged us to use the sketch above to make our cards this week. I had fun with this one and I challenged my eyes coloring these small flowers with my Copics. I cut the images out with a SU punch and then edged them with a Copic Marker. The green paper is from my stash. The card base was embossed with a Sizzix folder. The ribbon is from Michaels and I've had it for about 6 years and this is the first time I've used it. As hard as I tried this morning I could not seem to get a good picture, but this card does look much more vibrant IRL. Thanks for spending some time here and if this is your second trip today, an EXTRA thank you for coming by twice in one day.

  5. Those graceful little images are perfect for this sketch challenge, and I just love that deep purple color! (like Nancy said above, it's my favorite color too) See that, you were saving that ribbon for the perfect card, and today was that day! It's a match! Great card!

  12. Beautiful take on the sketch Donna! I hear ya about challenging you eyes on coloring the small flowers. Sometimes that's more challenging than the actual challenge. You did a great job on that and the outlining. Love the ribbon and so perfect for this card and the color you chose.

  15. Great job with the sketch challenge Donna! Two posts in 4 hours is amazing. (I'd be hard pressed to manage two posts in one week I think, LOL.) I especially love the ribbon. I find myself attracted to the printed ribbons in the $1 bin at my Michael's but I've forbidden myself from collecting any more because i never seem to find a good way to use them. This inspires me to finally try to use them up once and for all!
