S & S Sketch #112

Happy Sunny Sunday, my card today is for the Operation Write Home's  S & S Sketch Challenge #112 found here.

I used two color card stocks that I had in my stash.  The two embossing folders I used were Swiss Dot and the Diamond Plate and I decided to change it up a bit by making two toned ovals. One sentiment was computer generated and the other is from SU's Teeny Tiny wishes.  I pierced around the edge of the panel to give it a little more life.

Thank you for taking a minute to stop by today.  See you again soon.

  1. Donna, you always amaze me with the creative ideas you come up with! That two-toned sentiment panel is neat!! I never would have thought to try that, but it sure makes a great father's day card!! Nice job on the challenge!

  4. Hi Donna,

I was thinking about you earlier this week. Although I'm still taking the trip to Baltimore, Jet Blue totally changed their flight schedule and had wanted me to fly out at before 9AM on that Friday!! Way to early for me and I almost had to back out, as there is not way I was driving to that airport during rush house. I am now flying down late afternoon on Thursdays and the change, even gave me a credit back, since it's an every cheaper flight.

Funny how things change...and how hard it would have been. They also changed the return, but the time if okay for me.

I'll now be there a day early, but it will actually work out, as I can sleep in on Friday and wont' have to worry about early check in, I'll be there and already all set and can wait for all the others to arrive and also be there for Colleen to come up whenever she wants and help her out, if needed!

I will miss you, but can clearly see, for some reason, it was not meant to be. !

PS: Very nice Father's Day card! That's one type of card I just do NOT like to make...one, because they are Male cards, which are always hard, and then because they always make me think of my Dad and how I lost him so young.

Even after all these years that one Holiday/Event that I would rather just pass by!

I made a lot of SPRING cards today and after that silly SNOW we ended up with yesterday, it's been a joy to see it all melt today!!

Hope you are fine and well!!

  9. Really like the way you reversed the colors. Like the layers of ovals. Also how the piercing is the reverse of the embossed dots. Very nice!

  12. I really love the elegant style of your cards. This is very well done - has a graphic kind of look and the colors are so "manly."
