Outlawz - Monday Greeting Card Challenge

Whew, I'll bet your tired of looking at my cards today. This is my final card, I promise.  My back can't handle this chair any more today.  Getting old is tough.  LOL.  This card is for the Outlawz Monday Greeting Card Challenge .   Colleen has challenged us to make our cards this week using Pastel colors to represent Spring, Mother's Day, etc.  Here is my card.  I'm kind of happy with it.  Hope you like it also.
My card base is Bashful Blue card stock and for the designer paper look I started with Whisper White card stock and then just sponged different colored chalks on to the paper. Then I took an eraser and a ruler and erased some of the chalk so that I ended up with a diamond look to the pastel chalks.  The border punch is from SU an the sentiment is by AMuse and cut out with Nestabilities.  I added some yellow ribbon and a two toned bow and I was done.   This is definitely it for me today.  See you later on in the week.  Thank you all for stopping by.  I love the company.

  3. It appears that you saved the best for last today! Wow this is pretty! I LOVE how you created that diamond pastel background!!! It's so pretty, I MUST learn how to do that! The punched borders and multi-colored ribbon ties this up perfectly! I LOVE it!!! Take a bow my friend, you've really been on a roll today, and I love everything!!! :)

  4. What a neat chalk trick. I was going to say that the "patterned paper" would be great for a baby card and now I know you made that pattern yourself. :) I have chalk I have never used for scrapping. I actually used it to mark fabric for a sewing project this weekend because I couldn't find my dressmaker's chalk. Now I might use it for cards!
