S & S Sketch Challenge #115

Good Sunday Morning to all of you. The sun is out here so that's always a nice thing. I was extremely honored when Operation Write Home asked me to make some sample cards for today's challenge. You can see two of my samples on the Stars and Stamps Blog found here.
Here is another card I decided to use for this challenge.
I am not super thrilled with this card, but I think my teenage granddaughter will like it.  Wow, I'm really bad lately at keeping track of my papers so I'm sorry but I can't tell you who made the designer paper.  The purple panel was embossed with the Cuttlebug Heart embossing folder.  The Happy Easter stamp is by Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from A Muse.   The $1 bin at Michaels is where I found that ribbon.  I wish you all a fabulous Sunday and thank you for stopping by.  See you again soon.
PS I forgot to mention that the placement of the bow is to cover some spot that I managed to get on there after everything was glued down.

  2. Great work on the samples for OWH this week, Donna. Your patriotic bear card is just so sweet. I like the ribbon on this too, and wouldn't have guessed you were covering up a mistake! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Donna -- thanks for all you wonderful samples for OWH. I like how you've used embossing on your cards to them interest and texture. I like your Any Hero Card with the little camo bear. Thanks for the inspiration this morning.

  5. Oh so pretty - and I also love the ones on the OWH site! Like the first one with the little bear guy and the sentiment is perfect.
Back to this card though......it's great and will just be a fabulous Easter card for your granddaughter. Teens are hard to make cards for and I think this one is perfect!
    Have a great day.

  7. You're on a roll my friend! 3 great cards for this sketch challenge, and they're all great! I know your DGD will be happy with this card, and don't you love how ribbon and/or embellishments can save a card like that when you make a mistake? No matter how careful I am, when I get out that black inkpad I ALWAYS leave a smudge somewhere :)
Have a great Sunday and take care!

  9. Hi Donna, Your sketch cards at Stars & Stamps are terrific, and so is this one. I think your Granddaughter will love this card - it's beautiful! To me, it was a happy accident on your card that made the bow get on there, because I really like it. When I saw your card I thought, Wow, that Donna always knows how to add an embellishment in just the right place, lol! Hope your Sunday is great.

  10. Hi Donna! Congrats on the sample cards this week! I always seem to have inky fingers even after I was my hands, that's why I use such busy papers a lot of the time.
