It's Sunday which means a Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge found here.
Here is the card I came up with for this challenge. I must have been feeling a little "girly" today.
My card base is embossed with the SU Square Lattice folder which is my favorite. I colored the Rhubarb SNSS image with my Copic markers. I also outlined the edges of the focal piece with a Copic marker, then pierced all around the edges and added some little gems. The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes. The designer paper is also from SU long since retired. I used white SU ribbon and colored it with a Copic marker to match the edging. I wish you all a wonderful day today. It is beautiful today but the forecast calls for rain the entire upcoming week here in Southeastern Massachusetts hopefully that means more time in my craft room. Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Cute card! I don't have the square lattice folder...might have to go on 'the list'!

Donna, This is sooo adorable! I'm going to use this same image for one of my DT cards later this month and don't be surprised if I CASE your card! I'm so impressed with your design and coloring. Thanks for the inspiration! Hugz.

How adorable your card is. Love the textures and your flooring. Thanks for sharing~ Pam
ReplyDeleteIt's so great to see you making cards again, and what a cute card this Rhubarb bear makes! I love how you pierced the corners of this one, and that ice cream cone looks scrumptious - raspberry flavor is what I thought of immediately, and can you say YUM?!! I hope this rainy week leaves you plenty of time to get crafty! We need to catch up soon :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Donna. This is really sweet! The coloring on your bear is great, and I love the paper piercing detail. That SU square lattice folder is one of my favorites too! Have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so darling! Funny, I did an ice cream cone today, too. Great minds. lol
ReplyDeleteI love the embossing, and wow, how clever to color your ribbon with your Copics! I tried that on a brad the other day, but never would've thought to color a white ribbon. We're having a sort of misty day here in the Pacific Northwest, but after all my years in the AZ desert and humid TN, I'm actually happy to be back home in in rain, even if most people here think I'm crazy. (They all seem to want to GO to AZ!)
Cute bear! Some little girl is going to adore this. :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable card! That embossing looks great and the bear is so cute!
ReplyDeleteDonna this is adorable - I love Rhubarb! Have a great week! Hugs, Harriet
ReplyDeleteDonna -- love your little bear. You really did a great job coloring. I admire those that color so well. Still not something I do much. I too like and use the square lattice embossing folder from SU. Thanks for stopping by my blog too -- you leave such nice comments. Thanks, Sharon

ReplyDeleteReally cute, Donna! I love the piercing, that's a great little detail. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
ReplyDeleteDonna! You're back! Your card is so cute - the piercing and embossing really look terrific, and Rhubarb is adorable. (After seeing this little guy on your blog, I finally broke down and bought some Rhubarb digis - I need to color them up and get some cards made!)
ReplyDeleteWe are having rain this week too, here in Western Washington. It is good weather for card making! :) Have fun!
