I decided to make an Any Hero Card to add to my next box that will be going out soon.
My papers and card stock are all from SU. I crimped the Pacific Point card stock. Use used SB square dies and added flag/star stickers that I have had laying around for ages. My sentiment is from Hero Arts "Hero Mail" stamp set. I just finished it off with two gold brads. Very simple - Very Easy.
My next card is for Cindy's challenge. Again I went with Simple and Easy. My image and sentiment are both from Gina K Designs set titled "Ready, Set' Snow. That set just has the cutest images and sentiments around.
My paper is from a Winter Pack by DCWV (a couple of years old by now). I colored the image with Copics and sponged SU's Bashful blue around the inside edge of the SB Postage Stamp Die. The Snowflake border is from EK Success and I just added a few blue gems to the centers of the flakes to make them pop and added a gem to the image piece to cover a spot I somehow managed to get on there. The more I try to be careful the sloppier I am. I am hoping to be able to get to some more challenges today, but I am also trying to divide my time between working outside and my craft room. Thanks so much for stopping by to say Hi. I always appreciate the company.
I like the way you angled the sentiment on the snowman card - gives it a more casual, fun feel!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are great!
ReplyDeleteLike the postage stamp die (?) the penguin is in!
Love that adorable snowman, Donna, and the sentiment is so perfect! Love the Any Hero card. I never know what to do with those kinds of sketches. You nailed it!
ReplyDeleteThese are such great cards Donna! I LOVE those little flag stickers, and I must have a ton of them lying around, yet I seldom use them! The snowflakes on the 2nd card look like they're dangling from the rooftop, what a great look! I agree, that really is a cute image:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Donna! I've decided that Pacific Point is my favorite blue ever. Love how you used the gems...especially to cover a booboo. Clever.
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful cards! I partucilarly like the crimping on the first...great texture. The penguin is uber cute and the gem to cover the booboo is perfect! I also agree with Carol about the rooftop! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful Donna!
ReplyDeleteLove the stars and colors on the first card! And crimping.....I need to get mine back out now!
The second is so cute and fun - love the snowflake border on here too. Can't believe you actually got a smudge on this!!! LOL!!! I wish I had a nickel for every time I've done that! Great cover up though!

Your Hero card is great and how easy is that! Thanks for commenting on my blog. Hope the weather is not too hot for you to work outside!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! Some hero is going to get an awesome card. It's a real inspiration to get some made on my end too.
ReplyDeleteCute cards, Donna! I really like how your crimper added so much texture for your Anyhero card. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteDonna, your style may be "simple and easy", but the results are "creative and inspiring" ;)
ReplyDeleteThe postage stamp die works perfectly! I may need one of those myself...
