Shopping Our Stash #71

Good Tuesday Evening, This post is for the Shopping Our Stash Challenge #71 found here.  We are being challenged to make a card using the color green or recycle something or both.

I went with both. I used a couple of different shades of green and then did some sponging with yet another shade of green. The sentiment was stamped in black prior to my embossing the panel with the SU Fancy Fan embossing folder. I recycled a flower that was part of an old bunch of flowers in a small vase in our spare room. I put a bunch of these old "fake" flowers in a box and go to the box every now and then to use one of the flowers on a card or scrapbook page. I added a white brad to the middle of the flower because I removed the center piece that was in the flower because it was way too bulky (A trick I learned from a Tuesday Tutorial on OWH- Thank You) I also added three pearls and rounded two of the corners and I was done. That will do it for me for tonight. As always thank you for stopping by to say Hi. Enjoy your evening.

Every now than I end up with this problem of the white background and I can't seem to fix it. I keep changing the background text to no avail. I can't seem to change it from white to clear. If anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong I'd appreciate hearing from you

  1. Your card is just SO pretty with those purples and greens! I love that sponged die cut panel too! I'm glad you found time to make a card today :)
I've never had that issue with white lettering so I'm sorry I have no useful information to share with you. I do know that on blogger there is a text color menu, and right next to it is a text background menu, and often times I accidentally click the wrong text menu which highlights the background, not the text.

  2. Lovely card, as for the white I've had that occasionally and if you edit your post there is a spot with an underlined letter T - if you click on that it says remove formatting and it gets rid of the white.

  3. Sorry, you may have to highlight the wording first and then remove formatting.

  4. Oh Donna, this is so pretty! I LOVE all that green and the different green shading just sets the card off. The purple against all the green is delightful and I LOVE this!!! VERY pretty (and glad you're playing at Shopping Our Stash too!)
