Sunday means Operation Write Home's Stars and Stamps blog posts their sketch challenge for the week. The week is # 142 found here.
I decided to make another Any Hero card for the box I'm shipping out this week. I just embossed my card base with the "So Trendy" M-Bossabilities folder. The panels are from Basic Grey and the sentiment is from A-Muse "Hero Mail" stamp set and cut out with a SB Grommet Tag. I sponged both Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip ink around the edges of the die. The star brads are all from Recollections. Thank so much or dropping by. It's so much fun to have company. See you all soon.
Well aren't we both trendy today! LOL Our cards both posted at nearly the same moment, and we both used the So Trendy M-Bossabilities folder!! LOL GMTA I love the chevrons on your hero card, and especially how you added the stars to the sentiment panel and bottom of the banners! I used the flip side of the ef, and leaves for mine. I think we're definitely operating on the same wave length today my friend :) Great Hero card, and I wish you a fabulous Sunday! :)
ReplyDeleteAfter taking a 2nd look, I realize we both used the same SB grommet tag for the sentiment too! How funny :)
ReplyDeleteGreat card...so warm and inviting! I think I see some supplies I need to add to my wish list! tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteDonna, thanks for playing along with this week's sketch. This is a great example of an AnyHero card that doesn't focus on red, white, and blue. I always find myself stuck in that rut. I really like the subtle embossing you did on the base layer because it gives the card a rich look.
ReplyDeleteThis card is themed perfectly!
ReplyDeleteDonna your card is fantastic, love the homespun feel the papers add. Very nice display of the sentiment and the sponging really sets it off.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Donna! That will make a hero's day, I'm sure! Love that ef and your DPs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great touch, adding those stars! Isn't this a fun sketch!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and I love those DP's you used! VERY NICE! Perfect addition of the stars too!

Hi Donna! Your card came out beautiful! I was being thrifty and trying to use scraps but couldn't find anything that looked very great together. I like the stars you used at the ends of the strips, I thought the sketch needed something down there. Great job!
