S & S Sketch Challenge #148

This week's sketch at Stars & Stamps  was really hard for me.  I just can't get into tags so it took me all day to think of something to do.  I finally came up with this card.

Both the image and the sentiment are from a Gina K Designs set titled Ready, Set, Snow.    I colored the image with Copics and used my cutter with the zig zag edge.  I ran my Krylon Gold Leaf Pen around the edges of the image panel.  I stamped the brown panel with SU's weathered stamp and then embossed it with a TH Alterations (tree) folder.  The middle panel is embossed with the CB Swiss Dot folder.  A flat bow, made with SU's Chocolate Chip ribbon, was added and I was done.  Now that I look at it more I think I may go back and add a few little baby hearts to the Very Vanilla panel.
I wish you all a wonderful evening and a fun week ahead.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

  1. Donna,

This is such a cute card -- the sentiment and image are perfect together. Love the variety of embossing. You'll have to repost when you add the baby hearts. TFS!!!

  5. What a sweet and adorable card! I love that cute little squirrel and think your did a fabulous job on this. I really like the challenge and found it fun, which us good for me, because I typically don't make a lot of "tag" things.

You would never know you had any issues with this, as your card came out so well. I've been missing spending more time creating, but I am slowly catching up and I know come January, I'll be very thankful to have lots of days to spend creating. I will then start shopping for good deals on flights out to see Bri and Meg. I am not going to rush too soon and come back to a long cold winter. I think I'll go later, when winter is almost over and then come home and have a nice Spring coming soon!

Let's all HOPE our winter is as nice and mild as last year and that we don't have a lot of nasty storms and snow to deal with !! YUK!! The only time I like to see snow is a fresh new coat on Christmas morning...but nothing that causes anyone to miss out on getting out and about!!

Hope you are well and looking forward to Christmas! :)

(I'm afraid of tags too, so I can sympathize with your difficulty in getting your card made.)

Hope your week is going well!
