The Operation Write Home's Mid Week Throw Down this week is to make a card with no sentiment on it. Here is my entry:
The stamp is by SU and I colored it with SU markers before stamping. It is cut out with a SB die and I traced around the inside of the die with a Multiliner pen before I removed the image from the die. The back panel is embossed with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder. Brads and a flower from Recollections finished this card off. The flower is there to hide a boo boo. Thanks so much for stopping by. See you again soon.
Beautiful card, Donna! I love the embossed background and the delicate stamp!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, your card is gorgeous. I love the beautiful stamp done with blue flowers plus the embossed background.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I never would've guessed you added the flower to cover a mistake. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular, Donna! I love the delicacy of that stamp and the way you paired it with the flower embellishment.
ReplyDeleteDonna, I would have never know the flower was covering a boo-boo!! I like it on there! VERY pretty and perfect outlining around the die cut.

Hi Donna! Your beautiful card just took my breath away, really. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved this pretty tree image, and it looks gorgeous with the tiny blue leaves! I still love the look of outlining a die like this! It adds interest without adding extra postage requirements! And the flower - a perfect way to cover up the oops! moments :) Beautiful card Donna!
ReplyDeleteDonna -- wonderful card. The little flowers are so delicate and I like how you outlined the die -- really adds to the card. And I would never of guessed the added flower was an uh oh moment. I have many of those -- sometimes with the boo boo it turns out even better. Thanks for sharing your techniques.

ReplyDeletewow- beuatiful card and what a great idea to outline the die in black-- sometimes the next size up is too big of a mat- so this is a trick I am definately stealing- ooops- borrowing from you! Like the addition of the flower- and the brads are the perfect finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty focal image, Donna. I love outlining the die to bring things in a bit! Hope you are off on a good foot to a new week.
ReplyDeleteLovely card! Sweet and elegant image, and the black outline gives the perfect touch. TFS
