Mid Week Throw Down

The Operation Write Home's Mid Week Throw Down this week is to make a card with no sentiment on it. Here is my entry:
The stamp is by SU and I colored it with SU markers before stamping.  It is cut out with a SB die and I traced around the inside of the die with a Multiliner pen before I removed the image from the die.  The back panel is embossed with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder.  Brads and a flower from Recollections finished this card off.  The flower is there to hide a boo boo.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  See you again soon.

  9. I've always loved this pretty tree image, and it looks gorgeous with the tiny blue leaves! I still love the look of outlining a die like this! It adds interest without adding extra postage requirements! And the flower - a perfect way to cover up the oops! moments :) Beautiful card Donna!

  10. Donna -- wonderful card. The little flowers are so delicate and I like how you outlined the die -- really adds to the card. And I would never of guessed the added flower was an uh oh moment. I have many of those -- sometimes with the boo boo it turns out even better. Thanks for sharing your techniques.

  14. wow- beuatiful card and what a great idea to outline the die in black-- sometimes the next size up is too big of a mat- so this is a trick I am definately stealing- ooops- borrowing from you! Like the addition of the flower- and the brads are the perfect finishing touch!
