OWH- Mid Week Throw Down

Good Thursday morning to all.  My card today is for  the Operation Write Home's Mid Week Throw Down.  They have asked that we make a card with Spring Flowers on it.  Here is my entry.
The tulips are a SNSS digital image that I colored with Copics.  It it punched out with a SU punch and matted on a SB circle die. I then placed all of that onto a Cherry Lynn Die.  I cut out the die three times in three different colors and then added back in some of the green and white cut outs here and there. The background paper is so pretty it seemed a shame to cover most of it up.  It came in a pack of paper I picked up at The Christmas Tree Shop a while ago. I added two of the cut outs in the corners with little rhinestones in the middle of them.  My last step was to mat it all on both Old Olive Green and Elegant Eggplant (both from SU) which I cut with my wavy cutter.   I decided not to add a sentiment on this card because I felt it could be used for a number of different occasions and I didn't want to limit it's use.
Thank you so much for stopping by to say Hi.   Having company is a great way to start off the New Year.    See you soon.

And to use them on the corner with a gemstone is such a wonderful embellishment too! What a way to showcase those pretty spring flowers! Well done! Stay warm!!!!

  13. Hi Donna, those tulips are so pretty and what you did with the die cut is amazing. I feel the same way about beautiful paper - I hate to cover it up, but I can still see it and it is, indeed, beautiful.
