Good Monday Morning everyone. I have two cards to share with you today, neither of which I am totally crazy about but here we go anyway. The first card is for the S & S Sketch Challenge #154 seen here. I have no idea why I went with these colors. They look like fall colors and we are into spring cards now. I think I just liked the paper of which I have no idea who made it. It is double sided and I used both sides. The sentiment is by SU and the embossing is by Darice and was a gift to me.
This next card is for the January ODBD designs found here. This month they are asking us to use some dry embossing. ODBD will pay for one box of shipping of our OWH cards for every 25 people that enter, so please consider helping out by making a card and posting it on the OWH site.
I used SU's Perfect Plum and Basic Grey as well as a SU fancy scallop punch on this one. The Perfect Plum looks much prettier IRL. ( I really should take a photography lesson). The image is by Lockhart Stamp Co. and I colored it with Copics. I wish you all a fabulous week ahead. Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to stop by. Company and comments are always greatly appreciated.
Donna these are wonderful!! I love the orange and green!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I'm having trouble posting a comment. I hope it isn't double or triple posting. :-( Donna, I love both of these. I think the colors on the first one work for nearly any season, including spring. :-D Love your coloring on the flowers.
ReplyDeleteI like both of them Donna - but really like the second one! I actually like the colors in the the first card - maybe because I like the season of all and that really is what they remind me of.
ReplyDeleteDon't think you need photography lessons - I have the same problem in photographing pinks - um.....maybe we BOTH need those lessons! LOL! Love the beautiful image on that second card.

I made my OWH sketch card today too, and I used colors I don't think I've ever used before! I used the same sentiment and a ribbon for the lower panel too! LOL GMTA, and we are both apparently on the same wave length today! LOL I really like the colors on the first with the great use of dsp, but the 2nd one has to be my favorite-simply for the colors ;) The plum & grey colors look gorgeous together, and I love how the floral image is beautifully showcased with just a decorative border! Great coloring and design!! I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThose may be fall colors, but they look great! Not everyone is into seasonal colors, so we should still offer some variety in the boxes for our heroes. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThese are both lovely, Donna! I especially love your 2nd card; the stamp is beautiful (I love the vertical look) and your coloring is gorgeous. Love the twin borders and your colors. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteI like them both!
ReplyDeleteThe embossing on the top one is fantastic!
Hi Donna! Your ODBD is absolutely gorgeous. Love the soft look to it. Your sketch 157 is great -- orange can be a spring color too!
ReplyDeleteWell, as Carol said, GMTA! That is just too funny. Both of your cards are just lovely. Thanks for always stopping by my blog. Your comments mean so much to me.
ReplyDeleteI like the fall colors and nice break from all the reds and whites! The second is so pretty with the embossing and lovely image :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards as always Donna. Beautiful choice of colors and patterns in the first one. Love the simplicity of the second one, and the double borders. Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of the orange and green color combination, and the layering on the pink and grey is fabulous! Love how you used the border on multiple layers.
ReplyDeleteDonna,
ReplyDeleteYour babies are so precious.
What a beautiful job of coloring your image. You have really gotten a lot of depth with the colors and shadows.
Thank you for joining the challenge and supporting OWH.
Marianne
Pretty cards! Love the fox gloves on that second one. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteDonna, both cards are so pretty thanks to both color combinations. I am having a hard time switching to spring-time colors when it is cold and rainy outside ;)
ReplyDeleteDonna, love the twofer, two cards in one post!
ReplyDeleteFall colors are always pretty and love the squares. The pretty folowers and borders make the second card special too.
Hugs
Sue
Both are great cards...esp love the ribbon on the first and the second has gorgous colors and coloring! tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteI like both of your cards Donna, the OWH sketch card is eye catching with your patterned papers. I noticed in the thumbnails on the OWH blog and had to take a closer look.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Jan =)
Hi Donna,
ReplyDeleteLove the color combinations in both cards. (I have that Jillibean Soup paper pack and think it is so much fun!) And, I'm always just a little envious of my fellow OWHers who are so talented at coloring. Nice work. TFS!
