S & S Sketch #158

Hello, I've missed posting for the past couple of weeks and I apologize for not commenting either.  I am filling in "full time" at work for about a month and I have also had the world's worse cold which has taken up residence in my lungs for the past week.  I'm so tired from coughing I don't have the energy to do a thing, so I do hope you will all try to forgive me not commenting on your blogs.
My card today is a real quick one I did for the Sketch Challenge over at Stars & Stamps.
I decided to just hit my clear block with Distress Ink and water and then I stamped my SU image in black and clear embossed it.  As you can see I decided not to go with a sentiment on this one.  I also went with 4 corner brads rather than two in one corner.  The back ground is embossed with the Sizzix Swiss Dot folder.  I just noticed that I need to sand the Very Vanilla background piece to clean up the edges a bit before it goes to OWH.    That will do it for me today, I hope to get to commenting now before I head off to the sofa for the night.  See you all next weekend probably.  Another busy week coming up and something planned for each night of the week, so I'm having trouble seeing where I can fit crafting in, but I will try.  I wish you all a terrific week ahead and thanks so much for stopping by today.

  6. I'm so sorry you've been feeling under the weather, but hopefully that nasty crud will leave your house soon and go get lost in the woods somewhere! It's great to see your card in the gallery this week, and I love how you stamped with the block first, and then stamped the image! It's a fabulous masculine card!
Now go bundle up, stay warm, and laugh at the super bowl commercials a little :) TC!
