Mid Week Throw Down

This week  Stars and Stamps gave us a color challenge: blue, green and orange with a neutral.  I had a hard time getting started with this one, but here is what I finally came up with.  I haven't made cards in so long, that my mind is not yet back in the groove.
I took some patterned paper I had from a package I picked up at The Christmas Tree Shop over a year ago and then I stamped this oval stamp that is long since retired from SU in both Garden Green and Tempting Turquoise.  As you can see I added my little orange brad in the center of my flower.  I had planned on using Kraft as my neutral, but it just didn't look right so I went back to white to match the white part of the flower.  The retired SU sentiment is stamped onto a SB pennant die.  That will do it for me for now.  We are having a "Neighborhood Ladies Night Get Together" here at my house tomorrow night so I think those ladies might appreciate it if I cleaned a bit and cooked a little, so I'll try hard to stay out of my craft room today even though I want to stay in here and get back into the swing of things.
In the mean time I would like to thank you all for taking the time to pay me a little visit.  I always love hearing from you.  See you soon.

  1. Donna, this is so pretty. Love that unusual oval image. The colors are so pretty together and the flower just tops it all off! That one little spot of orange is perfect!
Have fun with the ladies tomorrow - and cooking and cleaning today!

  6. Hi Donna! If this isn't good mojo I don't know what is! I love how you enhanced the bg paper with that neat stamp. It's a beautiful card! I'm going to be away for just over two weeks starting Sat. I probably won't post cards but will try to visit blogs if I'm smart enough to learn how to use my smartphone! Take care.

Hope you had a fun nite with the ladies- and had a drink! lol- and BTW- when I go to someone's home- the company and food is so much more important to me than a spotless home-- so feel free to spend lots of time in your craft room!
