S & S Sketch Challenge #165

Happy Sunday everyone, It has been a lazy day for me.  The only thing I've done today is a little bit of knitting and I made this card for the challenge over at Stars & Stamps found here.

I started with a background stamp ( I think it's titled Weathered) and stamped in onto my Very Vanilla card front.  Then I used the Leaf & Floral Hero Arts background stamp for my panel, both stamped with Certainly Celery from SU.  My sentiment is also from SU, retired.  I then colored my white ribbon with a Copic Marker to match the inks on the rest of the card.  The border punch is by MS.  This was a nice CAS sketch, which is my favorite and I'm kind of happy with the way this one turned out.   I wish you all a great day and, as always, I would like to thank you for stopping by.

  2. Oh, that is so pretty! I never thought of coloring a ribbon! (I've done brads, but never tried ribbon.) Once again, I'm feeling that mine is really gaudy in comparison; I suspect my inner child must be five years old. lol

  8. This is just beautiful with that weathered background and the beautifully stamped main panel! Way to work that celery ink! I ruined my celery inkpad recently when I refilled it with Wild Wasabi! Oops! :)
Have a great week. S.N.O.W. is in our forecast. How about you?

  13. Beautiful. I love your weathered bg and the pretty leaf and floral stamp.

I see Carol mentioned snow for you. Will Spring never warm up? We had horrendous winds yesterday in AL, also a rainy, ugly weekend.
    Stay warm.

  16. Beautiful card Donna! I love the green ink [wish I had that color] and the background stamp works beautifully. I don't have many Copics but I color my ribbon with ink pads.
