Hi there, It's time for a new House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge found here. They are calling for "Springtime" and nothing says springtime around the Northeast like an April rain shower. I just love this image titled Gentle Rain. His little face, as he hides under the flower, just makes me smile.
I colored him with Copics and used Liquid Pearls on the rain drops to give them some sheen. I wanted to keep it simple so I just stamped my sentiment from a retired SU set and cut it out with the Jewelry Tag punch by SU. Since April showers bring May flowers, I added a little flower in the corner. The background paper was in my stash and I'm not sure who it is by. Off to try to finish up a few more challenge cards. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to stop by and say Hi. See you again soon.
Aww, this is so cute!! I agree with you, that mouse's face is just too adorable! I love that tiny tag with the sentiment, and the liquid pearls on the raindrops is genius! That looks like it might be SU! dsp - I think they had a pattern like that a while back, but whoever made it - it's pretty! I love the green & yellow colors! Perfect spring colors :)
ReplyDeletePerfection!!!! Beautiful coloring and I do love the addition of the flower and that pretty background paper! Outstanding and love the entire card!!!

This couldn't be more adorable, Donna. The image is so sweet and so is that little tag and flower.
ReplyDeleteI think I can do without some April showers for a while as we had so much rain in March, but it does do the flowers a world of good. I always start setting out flowers on the 15th of the month. That's a good rule of thumb here. The ground is usually warmed up enough..although, March was rather cold. Maybe I should wait a bit.
Beautiful, Donna! Love the way you made your flower from the same papers. Such an adorable House Mouse image. I love that little Jewelry Tag punch. I'll have to look into getting it. :-D
