MWT - So Sentimental

This we OWH has asked us to make a card that has the sentiment as our focal point.  I did about as CAS as you can get.  Here is my card for this  challenge.
Now that I look at this card I noticed that my sentiment die piece is not centered.  I'll change that before it goes in the next box.  I pearced the corners and added a couple of gems from JoAnns.
Sentiment - Hero Arts White Embossed
Designer paper - Retired SU
Die - SB Lacey Oval
Frame - SB A-2 Matting Basic A
That'll have to do it for me tonight.  Than you to taking a peek.  I love the company.

  2. What a perfect card for the challenge! Your sentiment takes the spotlight all the way, and I love the piercing in the corners too!
Take good care and have a great evening!

  3. Love the sentiment font and the lacy die! And the white embossing adds such elegance- I need to heat emboss more often! And I don't mind it being slightly off centered; actually I like it like that! But- don't you hate when you notice something after you take the picture! lol

  4. I didn't notice that the sentiment was a bit off! But it still looks great and I love the red color. Very clean card!

  5. That is so wonderful! You definitely highlighted the sentiment and put it center stage! As for the centering, I didn't notice, and besides, if it were perfect, it would be machine made. Which doesn't show nearly as much love, and I think most times that if you only see an imperfection from the photograph, it doesn't show up when someone just looks at it in real life.

The piercing and sparklies add the perfect finishing touch and the sparklies are fabulous! I'm keeping this in my inspiration file for a reminder to add piercing next time I try a stricter CAS card!

  6. Beautiful example of a CAS card Donna! Honestly, I never noticed the sentiment was "off center" till you called my attention to it. I love how the die cut brings the sentiment in the spotlight, and the piercing is the perfect touch.

  7. Donna, this card is a perfect example of the CAS style because of the strength of the contrasting colors used. I especially like the pierced corners.

BTW---I want you to know how much I appreciate the gracious and thoughtful comments you make about my OWH cards. Hearing from you means so much as I can sense the care you use in choosing each word. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

  12. Very pretty! I would not have noticed it wasn't centered. I know the longer I look at my cards, the more I find that wasn't quite how I thought. Ha
