MWT - Christmas In July

Hi Folks, I'm back with a card for Stars & Stamps Mid Week Throw Down found here.  It's  95 degrees here and so darn humid I'm having trouble even thinking of Christmas but here is what I came up with. This card is about as CAS as they get.
I used SU's Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.  My patterned paper is from my stash and I can't remember who it is by.  The sentiment is from a retired SU! set and the gold brads are also from SU!
I set out to make a CAS card, but I'm not totally happy with this one, so I'm hoping my Mojo makes an appearance soon and if it does, I'll try to make another Christmas card that I'm more pleased with.  Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and say Hello.    See you soon.

  3. Welcome back to card making my sweet friend! I know in this heat it's hard to think of doing much of anything, but hopefully some more Christmas cards will put you in the mojo flow again soon! This may be CAS, but there's nothing wrong with CAS and I love the traditional colors too! Stay cool and take care! (hugs)

  4. I think my mono has gone wherever yours is because I seem to be creative-challenged! Your card is still very nice, though. The dark green paper is pretty and this design shows it off.

  6. I think CAS works! :) It's hard to make holiday cards in this heat (and yes, I will turn on Christmas tunes in September to be inspired but not in July. LOL). The dark green is so pretty and the white just shows it off!

  8. Donna, this card is perfect as is. The sweet simplicity of the traditional green-and-red combo along with the sentiment is a go! I agree--it is difficult to get in the spirit of making Christmas cards when the a/c is working overtime and it is HOT outside :)
