This week over at OWH the midweek throwdown is dry embossing. Here is my entry
This one went together rather quickly. The grey strip of paper was sitting on my desk so I thought of doing a masculine card and went from there. The designer paper was in my stash. I embossed the black panel with a chevron e/f and the grey panel with the Swiss Dot folder to play off the paper. I just received the Memory Box "hello" die in yesterday so I thought I'd try that out right away. I do love that die. It cuts beautifully and I really like the font. I chomped one top corner and added to two different sized silver dots and this one was done. Thanks for visiting today. See you tomorrow
Oh, I love that gray and black and the wonderful paper you used. I have a couple of those die sentiments and I really like them, too. Your silver dots/brads really show up nicely. Wonderful guy card.
ReplyDeleteExcellence in black & gray! This is a beautifully designed card, perfect for masculine recipients and I like the Hello die too! Nice card Donna!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card for any guy! Or gal for that matter. Love the elegant look of those colors together - and the Hello die is perfect! Kudos!!!

Yummy! tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a rich card, love all the shades of gray, including the silver brads. How did you affix the sentiment? Really nice touch!
ReplyDeleteYou sure have been on a roll! This is a fabulous card, Donna!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I love the gray with black and the one corner rounded gives extra interest to your card. This is a great gender neutral card.
ReplyDeleteI love B&W, Donna, and this one is no exception! Beautiful, fun and friendly. :-D
ReplyDeleteLove the addition of the "metal hardware." It's so hard to embellish a masculine card.
ReplyDeleteFab masculine card in these neutral shades. The patterns created such texture and love the hello die. Elizabeth Craft has a nice one too, a bit smaller I think. This die was spot on for this card, and I loved the layout. TFS & stay warm.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna! Well, we're kindred spirits with this week's challenge (I used a work die too)! I love your layout and your card is a gorgeous masculine card. The papers and embossing just work so well together. Love those shiny dots too. Great card! (I'm saving your layout in my CASE file.)
ReplyDeleteDonna, Wonderful masculine card and the perfect paper. The perfect CAS and the layout works really nicely.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pat

ReplyDeleteHi Donna! Such fun to see you featured at the OWH sketch challenge! Awesome card; I printed a copy to CASE it...
