Here I am today with a quick post for OWH's Sketch Challenge #198 found here. I deviated a bit from the sketch but then again I do that often.
I started by flipping the sketch and I did not stick to the original measurements either (slap, slap). The horizontal strip I have should have been vertical because of the flip but I just didn't like it that way, so I left it horizontal. The sentiment is by Katie & Co. and everything else is by SU!. The featured stamper on Friday was Donna S. and I CASED her technique of making dots with an eraser. Thank you Donna. I used to do that years ago and then forgot all about it. I'm glad I saw it again on Friday. It is fun to do and I enjoyed it. That will have to do it for me today. Thanks for taking the time to take a peek. See you all soon.
Love the pencil eraser dots, Donna! I almost never stick to the measurements other than to make an A2 card. I just work with whatever image I'm using and go with the measurement that suits it best. :-D
ReplyDeleteLike the dots theme and also your color combo. Yea - don't you just love that tip for the polka dots from Donna on Friday? Love it when we learn from one another.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to use an eraser to make a polka dot background. I just love the green and browns together. I really like your flip on the sketch design. Great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Donna! Love the color combo and the dotted background!
ReplyDeleteLove all the polka dots! Cool way to make them with an eraser too! I've never done that but read about how to do them.....I'll try it now. Love your card.

Donna, Love how you made the sketch your own! Your eraser dots turned out great -- I really have to give that technique a try! And, thanks for being such a loyal friend. I'm not nearly as good at this comment thing as you are. But, seeing your name pop up always brings a smile to my face.
ReplyDeleteThis sentiment is perfect! Would make anyone feel totally special - something everyone needs to hear. I love this card! Hugz!
ReplyDeleteGreat reminder about the dots. Everything is so well coordinated! Love the ribbon at the top!
