Yesterday I cleaned my desk and the only thing on left on it was this little heart I had made for another card a while ago and it just didn't look right to me so I took it off and it has been sitting on my desk ( well actually it was glued to my lamp so I hope that counts) for about 10 days now so Thank You SOS for giving me a reason to use it. I just partially embossed a piece of white card stock with a Swiss Dot embossing folder and then added a piece of ribbon that I had left over from some other Christmas card and added my heart sentiment, which was made from a 2 part Creative Memories punch and the sentiment is by SU!. I think that punch was the very first one I ever purchased. I've used it so much it's a wonder it still works and I have never even had to sharpen it. Well that's my story of my very CAS card for today. Thanks so much for taking a minute to pop in. Your company is always welcome.
See you again soon.
Beautiful CAS design, Donna! I could make twenty cards with what's on my messy desk - lol!
ReplyDeleteDonna, this is so pretty and CAS. I love that you only embossed part of your card and divided it with that pretty ribbon. What a wonderful punch you have and it'll probably never need sharpening.
ReplyDeleteI made two cards today....hadn't really planned that...you know how those things just happen. I haven't uploaded them to by blog yet.
Oh Donna....this is my kind of card!!! I love it!! Clean and simple and straight to the point! Love the top half being embossed and the heart is so pretty! Glad you were able to un-glue it from the lamp! VERY pretty!

Way to work that punched element into your card! This turned out to be a lovely CAS card, right to the point and downright cute!!
ReplyDeleteSimple, yes, but quite lovely, Donna! Way to be true to the challenge by using the one punched element on your desk!
ReplyDeleteLove this card. Very simple, very elegant & so chic. Enjoyed reading the background story too. I need to check out this challenge. TFS Donna, and hugs. Stay warm tonight if it's cold in your part of the world. It's to be in low 20's in Upstate SC tonight.
ReplyDeleteYour heart definitely counts. This is a fabulous CAS design! Wonderful balance and the embossing adds great texture and depth! Very Nicely Done! Thanks for sharing this with us here at Shopping Our Stash!

Glad you found that sweet little heart, after your clean up! It made a perfect CAS card.
ReplyDeleteTerrific use of a left over, Donna. I actually played in the SOS challenge, too, but I had a bit more on my desk. Lots of stuff, in fact. :-D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Donna! Love the simplicity, yet very elegant and eye pleasing!!

Super CAS card Donna. Elegant and perfect. You can come clean my desk if you want! Hugz!!!
ReplyDeleteGlued to your lamp...except for the fact that you cleaned your desk off (crazy!) sounds just like where I end up keeping things! Love it :) Thanks so much for coming to play at Shopping our Stash this week!
