Deedee's December Digi of the Month

Two posts in one day.   I'm kind of proud of myself.
Here we are in the month of December already.  Where did the year go?  I like the beginning of the month though because it means a new challenge for Deedee's Digi of the Month.  This month Deedee has a new set of images titled Gingerbread Trains for you to have fun with.  If you played last month you got a freebee of this set this month, but if not you can always purchase it very reasonably on her site.  The set contains two images and three sentiments.  I love this set for children.  It will really bring smiles to little one's faces.  Here is what I came up with for this challenge.
I went with the pre-colored image in this set. I love having the option to color myself or use the pre-colored version and cut it out with SB dies.   I added a small piece of SU! ribbon and a candy cane brad.  I went with a sentiment that I already had and embossed it in black powder.  The little flowers are made with a MS Hydrangea punch and small pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty.

Here is the complete set - Isn't it darling?

Well that will do it for me today.  But I'm hoping to be back tomorrow with another card from this set.  Wishing you all a great Monday.  Thanks for popping in for a visit.

  6. Oh you did such a marvelous job with this, Donna! The candy cane corner accent is so sweet, and I really like how the greeting looks stamped on the patterned paper -- such a nice change from how we all usually do it, huh? Thanks so much for sharing this for the December challenge. I'll be sending the next digi at the start of January.

  7. Love the traditional colors of your papers - they go so well with this fun image (which you colored so well btw). Great card! Hugz!

  8. Ohmygoodness, This card is just stunning! You have out done your self with all the beautiful colors. Love the layout and your wonderful image is adorable. Love your paper.
    Hugs, Pat
