The flower and sentiment are both from a Gina K Designs set titled Stampers Favorites and the Dragon Fly is also from a Gina K Stamp set titled Vertical Greetings. These are both beautiful sets that I just bought in the beginning of January and could not wait to ink them up. I colored the flower and dragon fly with Copics. The paper is from a retired SU! 6 x 6 pack. I colored around the edges of a piece of white paper and also a small square piece of white paper with a B-4 Copic Marker so the edges and the banners would match the flower and dragon fly. I used the square punch to make the tails of my banners. I punched out two strips of chevrons and placed them together to get my vertical strip. I used some silver ( they photographed as white) metallic stickers that I found at JoAnns as my embellishments on the bottom. Because that are completely flat I thought they might travel better than gems. That will do it for me tonight. It's been a busy day and I'm shot. See you again during the week. Thanks a bunch for paying me a visit.
Donna, this is gorgeous!!!! I love that flower and of course the dragonfly too. Good tip on how you did the banners with the square punch. So very pretty - and I also like this sketch.

Love how you used the white space in the panel-nice contrast with your patterned paper. :) The zigzag on the vertical element adds great interest, too!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty, and I love the blue flower with the dragonfly accent! Those zig-zag panels add such a fun look to this great card too! NJ! Stay warm!!! It's a cold one out there!!!!
ReplyDeleteSweet card! The zig zags are a nice touch. Pretty stamps. My parents still have the first phone that was put in their house with the crank. Tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous flower and you colored it so pretty. I love those short banners and that striped paper. Very pretty card, indeed.
ReplyDeleteOooo, Donna, I love the blue and olive green combo! What a great flower. Great idea with the stickers vs gems. :-D
ReplyDeletePretty card Donna, and for such a great organization!! I know my son appreciates these cards when he is deployed!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I really like the color combo, very fresh to go with the pretty blossom.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I wouldn't have given that sketch a second look but after seeing your card, I love it. Very cool card - pretty flower, great papers, and love the little dragonfly. Well done. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteOh Donna, love that flower and the striped paper, so different and so pretty.
