Stars and Oranges

I'm here today with two cards that I made from a set by Doodle Pantry titled "Tree Glee".   I just fell in love with this set the minute I saw it.
This set comes with different trees that "grow" items like hearts, oranges, stars and shamrocks as well as sentiments to go along with them.  The background paper for both of these cards were in my stash and has been for about 4 years now.    As you can see I in the first card I went with the Stars mostly because of this sentiment.  I used the pre-colored version and cut it out with oval SB dies.  The sentiment was cut with SB also.  I added a red glittered star in with the sentiment to really let the recipient know what a "star" he or she is. I also popped up the sentiment.

This second card will let some child know how special he or she is.   I punched two corner punches by SU! and put them together and embossed them with the Swiss Dot folder.  I took this picture at an angle and the sentiment looks to be off centered, but it is not IRL.  The focal panel also looks to be lifting on the bottom corner, but again it is not.   These will be going in my box for Cards For Hospitalize Kids.     We are having spring like temps here today but quickly falling tonight to single digits.  Brrr!  I'm hoping to get some more crafting done this week as it will be getting too cold to venture outside.  Thanks for the visit.  I hope you are all warm and fuzzy where ever you are.  See you soon.

  1. These are really good stamps to have in your supplies. Absolutely perfect for what you plan to use them for too. Some child is going to feel so special receiving each of these sweet cards. Loving your dp, and really like the idea of the tree decorations. Great idea to do your dual corners as you did. Unique touch. Stay warm. TFS & Hugs

  3. What a cool stamp set and you've used it in such a pretty way. The sentiments are just perfect, too. How fun and exciting it will be for the recipients to receive these.

We're going down to 5 degrees tonight! I'll be snug under my electric blanket. Ha

  5. How fun are these trees! Two super cards, love how you used the corners to make the diamond design, clever girl.
It is so cold here and we have blizzard warnings. Schools all closed for tomorrow already tonight, thruway closed at 8 pm. We are hunkering down and staying in, as long as we don't lose power we will be fine.

  11. Donna, Love both of the cards... For some reason the one with the orange really catches my eye it is a nice warm cold and right now we all need warm it is 14 below and I look out my windows and wonder how the little birdies can do it. Yesterday for some reason I could not get on my computer, it did not work right everything was slow. Nice time to do crafting. Take care my friend.

  12. I love both cards Donna. But I have to admit the 2nd one really pops with color, especially the orange inking around the tree. I know what you mean about loving this set... I just ordered mine yesterday. lol
