It's been a busy day so this will be a quick post in tonight. I tried my hand at the herringbone background for this week's "Scrappy Backgrounds" challenge over at Stars & Stamps.
I used papers from a Carta Bella "Devoted" pad that I received as a Christmas gift this year. My sentiment is a Cuttlebug die and the other dies are by Spellbinders. I think that is all I can say about this one. Wishing you all a nice evening and good day tomorrow. Hope to see you again soon. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Very cute! I love how you did the scraps in all different directions.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with the herringbone technique, and the papers you used are just perfect for the sentiment! I really like this one ;)
ReplyDeleteStay warm - we already have the strong winds and the temperatures are falling again :(
Fab work with the herringbone pattern, love your colours too, hugs Carole Z xx
ReplyDeleteDonna, your herringbone design is super. I've never tried that but love it. I know Carol does a fab job with it, too.
ReplyDeleteSweet card, love that paper pad, have used it a lot!
ReplyDeleteWe are going out to dig out this morning.....Ugh..

Long night of wind and rain. So happy we did not get the snow. Love your gorgeous background, Donna! You did a fantastic job with all of the strips.
ReplyDeleteLove your card Donna! I think your herringbone came out fabulous, loving the papers you chose too. Great sentiment too. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI'd seen the herringbone on Carols cards and loved it and love it equally on yours! So pretty and love the colors you used for this. One of these days I guess I'm going to have to try it. Love the bold sentiment in the center too.

This is fabulous, Donna! Love the way you did your herringbone papers. What a gorgeous look!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous job on that background, Donna! What a great technique! Such a bright and cheery card that would make anyone happy!
ReplyDeleteWe got a lot of snow overnight and today! An additional 16-18 inches! It has been so windy and it is drifting so much it is hard to tell how much we actually got! And it is cold....below zero wind chills! I tell myself shoveling snow is good exercise!
Great colorful card and the big sentiment really stands out. I would feel loved receiving this card. Great technique on the card. TFS.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Donna, I love your fabulous herringbone background and beautiful papers.
