Words 2 Scrap By #4

I have been anxiously waiting for this new challenge over at Words 2 Scrap By.  Bobbi and Sybrina have come up with another fun challenge.  April's birthstone is the diamond and Rhianna has a song titled "Shine Bright Like A diamond In The Sky".  Two very good reasons for this challenge.
Here is my entry
I had so many ways I wanted to go with this one, but I just found this very small piece of beautiful paper (feels more like a fabric) with the silver stars and dots and  "sky" immediately came into my mind.  This card was then born.  The designer paper is from a very old pack I've had for about 5 years now.  I really don't know how this happens, but the cover is missing off of this pack so I don't know who it is by.  Some little elf must come into this room at night and take all the covers off my packs.   That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  LOL The card stock is Bravo Burgandy by SU!.  It's retired but I managed to hoard a sheet or two of it.  So glad I did that.   Anyway I laid out all the papers and then decided to go with this SU! sentiment because of diamonds and love.  I then ran a SU! Marker  around the outside edge of the focal piece.  Three gem stones under the sentiment and I was done with this one.  Once I saw this picture I noticed that the gems don't look even, so I will have to fix that before it goes out the door.  I had fun making this card and I'm happy with the way it turned out.  That will have to do it for me tonight.  Thanks so much for stopping by and please don't forget to hop on over to W2SB, join in on the fun and show these two sweet girls some love and support.  See you soon.

  1. OMGosh, I used that same paper pad last week to make my quilt card in the lavender color, and another one in this color 2 days ago! LOL GMTA! It's by DieCutsWithAView and it's called "the Mat Stack." I love what you've done with this card! All those sparkly stars look gorgeous on that pretty background paper! The diamond in the center looks perfect!

  3. That same little elf seems to hit my house on occasion too!
This is beautiful Donna! I love all the scattered starts and know they shine. The burgandy was one of my favorite colors of card stock and I was sorry to see it retire too.
    Love the design of this!
