W2SB - Oh, The Places You'll Go

Good Sunday Morning to all of you.  It promises to be a beautiful day today here in southeast Ma.
I'm here this morning with my card for the Words 2 Scrap By #6 Challenge  titled "Oh, The Place You'll Go"! which is the titled of one of Dr. Seuss's books.
I picked this new pre-colored image and sentiment by DeeDee Anderson  at Deedee's Digis, my papers are retired from SU!  I sponged the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.   It was a nice quick card to put together.    It picked this image  because Hubby and I just took our first little vacation of the summer and we went camping, so I thought this was perfect for this challenge. The Dr. Seuss book's focus is on the journey and maybe some problems that may occur along the journey, which is fine.   Hubby and I are now both retired so we purchased a motor home  (our new beginning) to travel to different parts of this beautiful country so I have to admit we did not camp in a tent this time. We love tent camping and have done it for years but our bones are getting a bit too old for that so we upgraded.  LOL
Our first journey was one pretty close to home (Hubby called it our shake down cruise) to see what we may have forgotten or needed.  I have to tell you that I only forgot two kitchen items, a whisk and a folding stool, both of which we did fine without.   I will take a minute and tell you I was quite proud of myself this time, usually I forget tons of things, which always makes life interesting for us and gives us something to laugh about.  I really enjoyed the theme for this challenge and ask that any of you visiting me today head on over to W2SB to support Bobbi & Sybrina and maybe enter a card there.  You won't be sorry, I promise.    Thanks for popping in here and wishing you all a fabulous day.

  1. Donna, this is so cute and I love the patterned paper you used with it. Cute image (of course) and love your sky you sponged in.
Jim and I used to camp in a tent too - but like you said, it gets a little bit harder as the years go by. You're going to love your camper and have so much fun with it!

  2. Such a cute card Donna! I love the papers you used, I would have never thought to use these papers together, but they work so well!! Love your cute image and love your take on the challenge. Hubby and I tent camp too and I'm just getting to old for tent camping, my Lupus just isn't allowing my joints to do it anymore. I wish my hubby would buy us a camper, I so love to camp and go see new sites. But he is a farmer so I know we will never leave the farm for driving around seeing the sites with a camper. A girl can dream though. Hugs, Brenda

  10. Your tent card is adorable, Donna, and it brings back lots of happy camping memories! We upgraded through the years, too, and laugh about the transition as our bones got older and we got better off financially. We went from tents, to REALLY rustic cabins, to a Vanagon, to a popup tent trailer, to motels, better motels, and now back to cabins, only not so rustic, lol!!

Thanks so much for joining the W2SB challenge! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Darnell
