Hello From The High Seas.

Hello everyone, Happy Sunday morning to you.  We have started with our newest snow storm early this morning.  So I guess it will be another crafty day for me.  I started to clear off my craft table and I still had some items left on there from a couple of precious cards so I thought I might as well use these before I put them back away.  This is a card I'll be sending to Cards For Hospitalized Kids and I used a darling image from Deedee Anderson, titled Set Sail.  If all this snow we have here now were to melt quickly our house would be out there on the high seas along with Daniel.
I had this pre-colored image of Daniel The Sailor sitting on my desk and then noticed I still had my Washi Tape along with my Rub-Ons out so I put everything together to come up with this card.  I decided to emboss the back panel to go along with the chevron tape.  I could not decide which side I liked better but I finally went with the debossed side of the paper just for a change.  I added three little stickers for for the fun of it.  In looking at this now I think I may add a bit of sky work before I send it out.  Wishing you a great day and thanks for your visit.

  5. This is really cute, and I love those matching embossed sides! I'm often torn between which side to use, the em or the de-bossed, because often they're equally fun! Keep your chin up with all that snow! look on the bright side - nobody's well's will go dry this year with all that melting white stuff :) Stay warm!

  6. This card is adorable Donna! I love your debossing chevrons and I'm in love with that washi tape. Your little sailor duck is just adorable sailing the high seas in his sailboat!! The black mat makes him pop so nicely. I think a little bit of sky will look nice too. I love this card! Hugs, Brenda

  9. This is an adorable card for kids. I love that adorable image and I love Washi tape. I used some yesterday for a card on SCS and then didn't post it. Duh! But, I like the card, anyway.
Let's hope your snow doesn't melt too fast.....that could be real trouble.

  10. Loving that chevron embossing folder, Donna! It works so perfectly with the washi tape. Daniel looks so sweet in his little boat. But don't let him go out in any of the storms -- promise?
