I used a store bought white paper bag and covered it with some paper that was in my stash. Then I punched a SU! Large Oval out of the bag for the handle. Next I took a store bought tag, covered the bottom half with the same paper, a strip of brown card stock and stamped this cute sentiment by SU! along with some SU ribbon. I sponged the edges of the tag with some Rusty Hinge Distress Ink and added a couple of silver candi dots and was done. I don't usually do too many "projects" but I was pleased with the way it turned out. Thanks so much for paying a visit and I wish you all a good evening.

A Little Thank You Bag
Happy Wednesday Afternoon. Boy the week is half gone by already and I don't even know what I've done. Anyway while we were in Savannagh, Ga. I went to this cute little store called The Salt Table that has hundreds of different types of salts and some sugars for sale. I picked up some for myself and a friend of our that kept an eye on our house for us while we were gone. So yesterday a made up this bag to put it all in. I had some little bags in the attic but I felt like I wanted to make one for her. So here it is.

What a super gift bag for your friend. She is sure to appreciate it. Handmade bags are the best.
ReplyDeleteOh, I would love to be in Savannah this very moment. I love that place. I really would like to be there while the azaleas are blooming. We went with our sons and their wives...one was pregnant with our first grandchild and I found out while there the other DIL was pregnant. It made the trip even better.
A fabulous gift bag for your friend...so very thoughtful!! I love the colours that you chose!! Hope that you are well!!
ReplyDeleteTake care,

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic and thoughtful way to give a friend a little gift! I've thought of making gift bags before, but it never occurred to me to cover one like this! I like it! I like the matching tag too! Very clever idea!
ReplyDeleteYou go, girly! That came out super sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love this bag, Donna! What a great idea to match the tag to the paper decorating the bag. I know I've been MIA but I've been having real computer problems. Hopefully those will go away when the new computer arrives.
ReplyDeleteDonna, you are just so clever and creative! I love this idea, and using the oval punch to make the handle is pure genius! The bag alone is a gift! Gorgeous!

I'm not a 'project do-er' either, but I like your ideas on this one. And what a pretty & most thoughtful way to gift your friend, and she will love it too! Well done, Miss Donna. Hope your time away was relaxing & fun. Savannah is a pretty little town, and has some good places to chow down. You find any good stamp places? TFS & Hugs
