Sympathy Card

Happy Monday To You All,  Hope your day is going good.  It is hot hear but no where near the humidity that we had yesterday, thank goodness.  Our PCP has a 13 year old Yorkie, Bella, who passed this past week.  Bella and our Daisey were littler mates (sisters).  Our Molly & Daisey are also sisters but from two different litters. They all have the same parents and grandparents.    There is a special closeness there with our girls and Bella.   When either Jack or I have to go to our doctor we end up talking more about our babies than we do our health.
I tried to make a very special card so I somewhat CASED a card I received once from Carol at Our Little Impressions.  I say somewhat because Carol makes the most beautiful cards around but I did give it a good try anyway.  I'm kind of happy with the turn out.  I wrote a very personal message on the inside.
It is done in Whisper White even though it looks like Very Vanilla here.  The sentiment is by SU! The flourish was done with some alcohol paper I made a while ago.   The paper is two tones and quite a bit lighter than it appears here.  The flowers are made with SU! and MS punches.  The gems are by Pizzazz APlenty.  That is about it for me today.  I wish you all a terrific night and thank you for taking a peek into my little corner of the world.  See you soon.

  2. You should be very pleased with the results, although I wish you did not need a comfort card. Yes, Carol does indeed make the beauties!

The flourish looks beautiful woven into and around the heart, and those tiny embossed hearts make this one so pretty! It's a beautiful card for a very sad occasion, and just knowing I've inspired you is the biggest compliment anyone could pay me!! Thanks for the wonderful shout-out, but you do beautiful cards too - just like this one :) Stay cool! Whew! It's really hot here in PA today again!

  7. Aww, a sad reason to have to make a card, but I am positive it will be so appreciated when received. So hard to lose one of our fur family members. Beautiful card, love the white, the heart, and the flourish.

  8. How sweet to share so much in common with others like this-- dogs are certainly a special blessing from God. Your card is beautiful - you picked a special card to case and your is wonderful. Super hot here too - they say it will be much cooler today at mid 90s! Rain is the reason and I am glad for it! Have a great weekend! Hugz

  10. Donna, you certainly couldn't find a better cardmaker to case than Carol. And this one is just lovely. I like the cut out heart, with the pretty swirl. Of course the dots EF is one that looks good however it is used, and is especially pretty here. I like that sweet sentiment too, just says it all. I have to get one of these for a pet loss done too. TFS & glad your humidity is lower. Ours isn't! TFS & have a great wkend

  11. Hi Donna! I am sure your gorgeous card brought a great deal of comfort. I am very choosy about sympathy cards and I would snap yours up at a shop. Lovely! Even with OWH closing, let's stay in touch, 'k?

  13. Hello Donna - your card is beautiful. I really like the flourish that adds that special touch. I also want to thank you for your kind words on my post. I will miss our OWH family -- I just need to get busy and find some other challenges to do to keep my mojo going and continue learning. Hugs to you!

  14. Hi Donna! Sorry I haven't been around visiting lately - been painting our bedroom. So glad it is done! this card is so gorgeous! My parents had several Yorkies. They are such sweet (and sometimes stubborn) dogs! So sorry for your PCP. Hope they decide to get another dog to keep their mind off their loss. Have a great day Donna!
