The flower is from the retired set titled Embrace Life and was colored with Copics, trying to match the retired papers. I began by stamping the En-Francis background stamp first after masking off the area for the flower. Then I stamped the flower and colored it, adding a few dots with a White Shapie for the stamens. My final step was to add a couple of sequins and cut it out with SB dies. I decided not to put a sentiment on the card front because I hand wrote a message on the inside. Thanks so much for stopping by. Wishing you all a great day.
Donna, that's a great idea about adding the white dots with a Sharpie! I even have one - so will have to remember that! Love the colors of this pretty card. They're going to love it too!

This is so beautiful Donna, and a vivid reminder that those older stamps we hang onto still make gorgeous cards! I love the soft text in the background, but those beautiful blue colors just won me over! I'm sure your ex-bosses will love this card as much as they loved having you work for them!
ReplyDeleteGorgous card Donna, Love the stamp and gorgous colours xx
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card Donna, great colours - your image co-ordinates with your papers perfectly.

Beautifully done, Donna! Love the double framing. Great use of the masking technique and I'm going to have to remember the idea about a white Sharpie. Must get my hands on one of those. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the color of the flower and your coloring is so beautiful and the way you framed it in makes it stand out so nice.
