All my card stock and the designer paper are from SU! The embossing folder is by Sizzix and the dies are all by SB. The stamp is one I've had forever but not used nearly enough. It is by Craft Smart and I think he is as cute as a button. I thought long and hard about what this little penquin's Santa had should be like. Should I stamp it in red? Should I maybe paper piece it? Then I just figured this little cutie would want everything on him to match so we went with black. It's hard to tell in the photo but there is Dazzling Diamonds on the brim and pom pom of his hat. Actually I think that is not a pompom but a bell, but it got "dazzled" anyway. Just a few touches of color with Copics and a gold outline of the die. I tried hard to outline the sentiment die with gold also, but I only had the thicker Sharpie and it was overpowering. I thank you for taking time out of your day to stop in for a visit. Enjoy your week.
Donna, I like the look of the thicker Sharpie! It really makes the image stand out. Cute little guy and I love his bow tie! Of course he'd have to have on a black hat since he looks all dressed up in his finery! Cute, cute card!

Oh he's so cute, and I love that retired SU! dsp too! The little guy looks like he's going to a formal all decked out in black and white, but that colorful bowtie is a real stand-out! Cute as a button!!! Way to get going on next year's stash too!
ReplyDeleteThis is a super card Donna, such a cute penguin - he really stands out against your lovely coloured background papers.

This is a cute card. I like the way you repeated the use of the diecut for the image and for the sentiment. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the January Rudolph Days Challenge.
Oh he's adorable. I'm loving all the fun papers you've used to make him so special, and the layered dies. If you have any 'snippets' on here, jump over to the Snippets Playground...and join in there as well. Good to see you at Rudy Day...it has helped me build a stash of C/Cards - now if I can just do inserts when I do the cards, I'll be all set for Christmas! TFS & Hugs
