Good Sunday Evening All. I'm here with a very quick post for today's challenge over at Stars and Stamps found here. Here is the sketch we are to follow this week.
Here is my take on it.
When I first looked at this sketch my mind immediately went to triple time stamping, so as you can see I had to change the size of the horizontal strip or else it would have covered too much of the stampings. The card stock, papers and stamp are all from SU and the sentiment is by Hero Arts. The little black gems were in my stash. It looked better in my head, but I'm still kind of pleased with the outcome. That will have to do it for me as Hubby and I are heading out to the deck to relax, enjoy the evening and watch for the moon. Thank for popping in and saying hello. I'll be around tomorrow to see everyone's creations.
I love how you've used those flowers to create a triple-stamped card! Altering the sketch was a good thing, because that narrower panel enhances without overpowering the stamping pattern of your layers! Great take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteGo enjoy the moon, and I'll be going out to sit on the porch after the sun goes down too! Right now, it's too danged hot & humid out there! Gasp!
The pink and grey combination is one of my favorites! Love how you used the triple time technique, and off set the top layer. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI'd be more than pleased with this one Donna! Love the colors and the way you stamped the flowers for this sketch! SO LOVELY!
ReplyDeleteI was looking at the sketch earlier and just haven't come up with anything yet - but you nailed it.
Have fun watching that big old moon!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Donna! Terrific stamping!
ReplyDeleteI need to try this triple time stamping, it looks so well done. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch an elegant take on the sketch, Donna. I love triple stamping and forget to do it very often. I really like this one!
ReplyDeleteVery cool Donna. I like all the layers and the way you have the pattern covering all of them. I need to try this. Hugz!
ReplyDeletePretty card, donna! Your stamping looks great!
ReplyDeleteTriple time! Awesome! I haven't used that in awhile. It's such a good jolt to the mojo when I see things like this.
ReplyDeleteI like what you did with the sketch. Flowers look so pretty. Love this technique and you carried it off to perfection!
ReplyDeleteSo darn hot....Keeya is staying in front of the AC.
Hugs

Trying one last time to leave a comment, Donna. I keep getting errors. You always do such great work with the OWH sketches. That flower worked perfectly
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the technique. It made such a pretty card. It was cloudy here Sunday and didn't see the moon. Had to get in the car and leave the house on Saturday to see it. There are so many trees blocking the view at our house, we could only see bits of it.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna! Beautiful card. Love your "sketchy" daisy stamp and colors. So pretty!!
