Close to Cocoa Challenge
Hi All, I've been MIA lately. I spent days rearranging my craft room to make it more easily workable. Also reorganizing items and I gave away things I hadn't used in years. Just a note: (I thought this was a good idea) I had a BIG bunch of colored copy paper and I gave it to a Nursery School for the children to color and draw on. Anyway today's Close to Cocoa Challenge is to make a card using something new. I used the Football Cocoa because Superbowl is coming up. A lot of the cards I make go to our overseas military personnel via Operation Write Home so I tried to incorporate football into a card for a hero to send home to his or her loved one. I know it won't get there in time for the Superball, but I think this one could be used year round, at least I hope so. I colored the image with my Copics and cut it out with an Oval Nestibilities. The background paper is embossed with a Sizzix embossing plate and I just added white dots. The sentiment is computer generated and I cut that out with my NEW Pendant Nestabilities Die. I added a couple of zig zag pieces with some left over white card stock that was embossed with SU Square Lattice ef. I'm not feeling myself today so I also do not feel very crafty so I'm afraid this card is going to be it for me today. Doesn't that just figure? - my room looks pretty good and is neat as a pin and I don't feel crafty. Thank you for stopping by and saying Hello. It's very much appreciated.

Hi Donna - Stopping by to say thanks and to send you wishes for a better day tomorrow. The "Bleck" feeling you described is pretty much fitting me perfectly today. I guess it's a sign of the cold miserable weather and the bitter cold coming next!!
ReplyDeleteI've been very happy with our 'mild' winter, but it sounds like it will be over soon!
PS: Your card is perfect for OWH or any football fan! Oh and speaking of Football, GO PATS!! I hope we win this weekend!! :)
I like how you've done the background...and this card is so right for a football fan!

Heeheehee... I've been kind of MIA lately myself. I'm not a fan of football but ya gotta love this card! I am a fan of mice (of the stamp/digi variety). Live ones... not so much.
