MHFMC- Mid Way Reminder

Hi all you House Mouse lovers out there and all my other wonderful blogger friends.  I'm here today with my mid week reminder card.  Our talented teamie Kate picked our theme, which continues this week, is to make a masculine card.  Here is my contribution.
 You will notice that I colored the golf ball orange.  I made this card last week and we still had snow in our yard, so I thought it would be a good idea if my little mousey friend here could at least see his ball in the snow.  I have a girl friend that uses orange golf balls all year long, she says she just likes them better and it gives people something to talk about.  LOL    I used a paper that was in my stash and also Taken with Teal SU! card stock.  The sentiment was cut out with a Cuttlebug Die.  I'm hoping some golfer will get a kick out of this one.  Thanks so much for stopping by, but I'd like to remind you to head on over to the HMFMC  to see all the inspiration my teammates have to offer up this week.  You will be very happy you did.  We have gifts also which is an other great reason to play along with us this week.

OWH Sketch Challenge #218

Happy Sunday Everyone.  Hope some of you are seeing the sun today.  Here is my card for the Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge #218

I started with a SNSS image and colored it with Copics.  As you can see my mats are all black and I scored all the way around the image panel.  I embossed my back panel with the SU! Fancy Fan folder and the red panel is a retired SU! paper.  The sentiment is computer generated.  I added a few little gems from Pizzazz Aplenty.   Instead of adding my three gems to the back panel I added them directly onto my image panel because I just thought they looked better there.     I'm hoping you all are having some fun crafting today or doing whatever else makes you happy.  Thanks so much for taking a peek here today.  See you soon.

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Happy Saturday Morning, I do hope you are enjoying a nice day where you are.  We are having a bit of a dreary day with quite a bit of  rain in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow.  Well more crafting time, so no complaints here.  Over at The Outlawz Friday Alcohol Markers Challenge this week they are asking for Anything Goes with a twist for something Christmas or Winter related.  Here is my card.
My image is Candy Cane Rhubarb by SNSS and he is colored with copics.  I did a marbleized/dotted background with reds and yellows. The mats are Real Red by SU!  The Sentiment is from a very old, retired SU! set.  The paper is from a 12 x 12 paper pack that I believe is by DCWV.  This pack was given to me and it had no cover on it when I got it, so I'm not positive about that information.   I think that will do it for me today for posting, my goal is to get a lot of coloring done.  Thanks so much for popping in for a visit.  See you again soon.

OWH - MWT

Here is my card for OWH's Mid Week Throw Down, which is a color challenge:  Purple and Yellow.

I used a digital image from SNSS and colored it with Copics.  I  cut her out with SB dies and added two yellow brads which I also colored with a Copic Marker.  I dotted the background with purples and yellows.  My paper is from The Christmas Tree Shop and the card stock is SU's Almost Amethyst, which I can't get to photograph good at all.  My sentiment by Hero Arts was stamped directly onto my designer paper.  I chomped the corners of all the layers.  That will do it for me today.  Even though it's raining on my card, I am wishing you all a sunny day.  Thank so much for your visit.

MHFMC # 166

Here we are again with another House Mouse & Friends Challenge found here.  Our teamie, Kate picked this week's challenge and it is Anything Masculine .

Here is my card

This image is titled "Great Catch"  and I went with that for my sentiment which is computer generated.  I colored this with Copics and cut it out with SB Circle dies and  a Pinked Circle die.  The paper is retired SU! and I added a couple of blue stickers to the sentiment panel.   This was an easy, fun card to make and I'm glad to have a reason get make more masculine cards.

We are proudly sponsored this week by a couple of very generous sponsors and want to give away a gift to those of you who play along with us.  So I think you should get out those HM stamps and make a card.

OWH Sketch Challenge #217

I'm here today with a card for this week's sketch challenge over at OWH.   I really liked this sketch but, as usual, I made a little change.  I had to make my banners a bit longer than the sketch called for because of the image I stamped on them.  I think it still it came out OK though.
I had a piece of the Almost Amethyst and the double heart stamp sitting on my desk so I used those two items as my starting point.   The rest was easy.  The paper is from my stash and the stamp is an oldie but goodie from Inkadinkadoo. The Cuttlebug heart embossing folder seemed like a perfect match and the gems are from Pizzazz APlenty.  I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.  Right now the sun has not yet shown it's face around here.  I'm hoping to see it later.  They are forecasting a possible snow storm for Tuesday night.  Such is life, I guess.  Thanks for stopping by.  I always love the company.

Miss You All The Time

I found a few minutes to get on the computer today in between "errands" so I wanted to share a card with you that I made with one of Deedee Anderson Digital Images found here.  This one is titled "Time With You.

This, like most of  Deedee's sets comes with both lined and colored versions of an image.  To save some time I went with the colored version and I just added a bit of color all around the image to help it pop off the white paper.   I cut it out with my wavy cutter and then matted it on a piece of scrap paper I had in my stash.  The green card stock is Garden Green by SU!.  I stamped a Hero Arts sentiment this time but Deedee includes some great sentiments in this set.  I also punched out some hearts from the MS Hearts border punch.

That's it for me today, gotta run out again but tonight I get to spend time with a friend and her one month old grandson - oh fun, fun, fun.  We get to spoil until his Mom comes back home.  Thanks a bunch for your visit.  See ya soon.

Hello

Happy Friday Everyone,  I hope you are all having a fun day.  It is chilly here in Mass. but sunny, so I'm not complaining.  I have been busy putting together Cards For Hospitalized Kids this week.  I thought I share one with you today.

I colored this young fisherman with Copics them matted him onto SU'S Garden Green card stock.  I stamped my sentiment in Versamark and them embossed it with back powder. The background paper came form The Christmas Tree Shop.  I added some stickers and twine and that finished up this one.
Well back to the drawing board, as it were, so I'll see you again later on in the weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Just Saying Hello

The other day I wondered into Michaels and bought this darling Penny Black stamp just because I adore hedgehogs could not put it down.   Imagine my surprise when I found out at the register it was on sale.  I loved the stamp AND it was on sale.  What a day!!!!!

I decided I would do some color other than brown for the basket and I had a couple of BG Copics markers on my desk, so I went with it.  I'm kind of happy with how the basket turned out.  You know, of course that those larger stickers are there to hide a smudge I got on the left side, so I added a couple more smaller stickers in the corners to help bring it all together.  I just stamped my sentiment by AMuse on a sheet of white card stock and then ran it through the crimper.  The blue paper is Taken with Teal by SU!

I had so much fun coloring those little hedgehogs that I wanted to color some more, so I thought I'd color another one, this time with the basket in a brown/orange tones (still trying to stay away form plain brown)  and this is what I came up with
After coloring this one I notched the corners with an older SU! punch.  I used the Fancy Fan embossing folder and some retired SU! grey paper.  I added a piece of Real Red ribbon and some red and white twine and a daisy button that I've had in my button jar for about 8 years now.  The sentiment is by SU!
So that is about it for me today.  I'm so glad you stopped by for a visit.  Thank you!  See you again soon.

MWT - Circles Galore

It's Wednesday, that means a Mid Week Throw Down over at OWH.  I found this one to be interesting and I decided to go with something totally different for me.  I hope a hero will like it enough to send it home.
My focal image is from a Gina K Designs set titled Stamper's Favorites".  I colored it with Copics and then cut it out with SB circle dies.  Then I took two smaller punches and cut out the other circles.  I colors the solid circles with Copics and then covered them in Glossy Accents. I used the Square Lattice embossing folder by SU for my background.  I choice not to use a sentiment on this one, so hopefully it can be used for just about any occasion.   Thanks for taking a peek into my little corner of the world today.  See you again soon.

MHFMC MidWeek Challenge

This is our midweek reminder for our Lost & Found challenge over at House Mouse & Friends.  I went with LOST again this week.  I seem to lose a lot of things, huh?

I lost my battle with only eating healthy foods, but my girlfriend also lost the same battle.  I thought since we both lost the same battle the proper thing to do would be to go out and drown our sorrows in a great big cupcake.  Seems like the right thing to do, wouldn't you agree?  Even if you don't agree we will probably do it anyway, these little mice did.   LOL

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week.  Besides having fun making up a card using these darling little creatures, you could possibly win some fantastic prizes.

S & S Sketch Challenge #216

Happy Sunday to all of you out there in Blogland.  My card today is for the OWH Sketch Challenge #216 found here.  Here is my card.

I decided not to go with any sentiment on this one so instead I went with the double hearts die from Cuttlebug on an oval die from SB.  I did adjust the placement of the oval a bit from the sketch.  My patterned papers are  from the Sweet Sorbet pack by SU!.  The coral panel is also by SU and I embossed it with a Sizzix embossing folder. As you can see it used a corner punch on all the panels.   I liked this one nice, easy and fun.  I'm wishing you all a beautiful day and want to say thank you for taking a peek here.  See you soon.

Up, UP & Away

Good Saturday Morning.  I am working on Cards For Hospitalized Kids and quite often when making cards for them I use Deedee's Digi Images because they are so appropriate: fun, cute, cheerful and uplifting.  Today I used an image from Up, Up & Away.  The image and sentiment both came from this set.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I used the pre-colored image today but they also come in line drawings so you can color them yourself.  The was my first attempt at making my clouds this way instead of using a template.  I think I have too many cloud because I don't think if it was this cloudy you should be up in a hot air balloon, but what can I say, I got carried away.  I also know I need a lot of practice but we all have to start somewhere and  I'm hoping the recipient will overlook my inexperience.  I used SB dies to cut out both the image and sentiment.  The background paper is from a retired SU pack and I just added a couple of stickers and I was done with this card.
Thanks so stopping by during your weekend and I wish you all a not so cloudy day.  See you soon.
MWT- Scrappy Background
It's been a busy day so this will be a quick post in tonight. I tried my hand at the herringbone background for this week's  "Scrappy Backgrounds" challenge over at Stars & Stamps.
I used papers from a Carta Bella "Devoted" pad that I received as a Christmas gift this year.   My sentiment is a Cuttlebug die and the other dies are by Spellbinders.  I think that is all I can say about this one.  Wishing you all a nice evening and good day tomorrow.  Hope to see you again soon. Thank you so much for stopping by.
OWH Sketch Card (way late)
Happy Tuesday Morning.  I'm  here with a card that I finally got around to putting together.  This was a sketch challenge a few weeks back at OWH.  I really liked the sketch but it's one of those things that slipped through the cracks with me.  So yesterday I remembered it and decided to make a card.
 The papers are all part of SU! Sweet Sorbet pack.  I love all the papers in this pack.  The sentiment is also by SU as it the ribbon and the card stock.  That will do it for me today.  Thanks for the visit.    See you again soon.
HMFMC #165 Lost & Found
Good Monday Morning  - We have a new and exciting challenge over at House Mouse & Friends this week.  Our team mate, Heather,  picked Lost & Found.  I'm sure you can think of all kinds of things you have lost and/or found over the years.  I went with  buttons this week.
Quite often a button falls off of a sweater or coat and I put it away for safe keeping until I have time to sew it back on.  Then when I'm ready to sew, I can't remember where I put those buttons for "safe keeping" so they are lost.  I always find them after a day or so (found).  LOL  Anyway, I went with this darling image titled "Will Knit for Friends"  Isn't that little chick so adorable just waiting for his/her sweater to be finished so he/she will be all dressed like the other chicks.  I colored the image with Copics then I pierced the edges of my panel and added some small red beads from Pizzazz APlenty .  I placed a few hearts around the image also because there is such a look of love to this image.  My sentiment is computer generated and of course I added some buttons and twine.  It would be a great idea if you stopped by House Mouse & Friends today to checked out all the fantastic ideas my teammates and Guest Designers have for you in the way of inspiration. You won't be sorry, I promise you!
You can also win some wonderful prizes from these very generous sponsors.  This week we are
OWH Sketch Challenge #215
Sunday = OWH Challenge found here.  Here is my card.
I went to my paper stash and the grey and blue plaid just jumped out at me so that was my starting point.  It was in a retired SU! designer pack so I used the blue plaid paper from that pack also.  The grey panel just seemed to be the right  choice for the smaller panel.  I was going to use three brads but then I remembered I had these stickers and I thought they might be better seeing as how they are flat, better for mailing.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you a great, sunny day.  See you again soon.
March Digi of the Month Challenge
It's the beginning of March which means we are having another Digi Image Of The Month over at Deedee's Digi Images.  If you played last month you should have already received your free digi image from Deedee.  If you didn't play last month you can still buy this adorable set at a reduced price or get it free if you spend just $10 in the store.   There are so many darling cards that can be made from this one set.  Here is the first card I made and I have many others planned. Ooh it's so nice to have some visions running around in my head.  That doesn't always happen you know.
I used the pre-colored image for this card, but I can't wait to color one myself.  I'm sure I will have a ball coloring this one.  I sponged around the edges of the image and then ran a black Multiliner pen around the inside edge of the SB die.  I matted that onto an Oval SB die.  The sentiment was also included in this set (one of many) and the paper was from The Christmas Tree Shop.  The flowers were punched with MS punches and the gems are from Pizzazz APlenty.
 I'm sure you will have just as much fun as I did with this set so if you have a minute please stop by and join us for this month's challenge and get a free set next month. Can't wait to see what you come up with.  Have a wonderful evening and thanks for spending some time with me.
HMFMC #164 Anything Goes
Today is the mid week reminder over at House Mouse & Friends   My teammates had some fantastic inspiration last week, but I invite you to stop by again this week to view some more great cards.  My Mojo takes a winter vacation every year (just about once every season lately,  LOL)  and in the event yours did also, maybe we can help your MoJO to come back home.   Anything Goes is the easiest kind of challenge and one we can all have fun with.  Here is what I came up with.
The image is titled "Anybody Home" and I just love it. The honeycomb embossed horizontal strip is SU's Almost Amethyst but it looks blue in the photograph.  I can't tell you how many pictures I've taken of this card, but I finally just had to settle for this one.  I colored the image with Copics and sponged a little bit of a sky there with Bashful Blue ink by SU!.  The green paper is also SU!, retired, as are the flower stamps.  I stamped them in Versa Mark and embossed them in black powder.  I added some Liquid Pearl Drop to the centers.  The sentiment is by DeNami Designs.  The fence is made with a MS Punch.   That is about it for this card,  but I am really excited about seeing what you come up with.
Besides having some fun making a card, you could win some great prizes.  Check it out, please.
W2SB #3 . . .And the Oscar Goes To
Hi All - I managed to get a few cards made today.  One of the ones I really wanted to get made was for the Words 2 Scrap By Challenge found here.  I found this to be a real fun challenge.  It think you, too, would have fun making a card for this challenge.  Why not stop over and see the different options(categories)  you have to work (play)  with.  I kind of did a take on The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of.
I colored up a little House Mouse image that I love and cut it out with Square and Scalloped Square dies.  The sentiment is computer generated and I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder.  My little gems across the top and in the flower center are all from Pizzazz APlenty.  I do hope this qualifies for the category.  Now my big problem is whether to give this card to Hubby or put it in my next OWH box.  Which option would you vote for?  Majority will win.   Thanks for coming by again today.  See you tomorrow.  Enjoy the evening.
Outlawz Alcohol Markers Challenge
Hi all, I'm behind on my postings this week.  I do hope you are all having a good weekend so far.  I know some of you are expecting more snow and I'm sorry for you.  We were suppose to get snow, but it is downgraded to just a dusting for now.
I'm here today with a card for the Friday Alcohol Markers Challenge over at the Outlawz.  This week the challenge is Anything Goes with Christmas as a twist.  Here is what I have to offer for this one.
The image is by SNSS and I've colored him with Copics, ran a gold pen around the inside edge of the die and then cut him out with SB rectangle die.  Then I cut a piece of SU! Real Red with my wavy cutter and matted him on that.  The background paper is from my stash and I'm sorry buy I have no idea who it is by.  I layered a piece of red chevron ribbon by Really Reasonable Ribbon that I won as blog candy, (Thank you Sybrina) on top of some SU! Real Red ribbon.  The sentiment is by SU! and was cut out with SU! punches.  I added four green gems from Pizzazz APlenty  down the front of the stocking.  They are a real gorgeous shade of green but I can't get them to photograph correctly.  Anyway this is my first Christmas card for this upcoming holiday season.   I hope I can get in the habit of doing at least a few a week.  Wish me luck on that one, please.  You should head on over to The Outlawz to see all the great cards their design team came up with.  Some great inspiration there.  Thanks for taking a minute to spend with me today.  I always love the company.
