S & S Challenge #245

Here I am with my last card of this year.  I'm looking forward to 2015 and, hopefully, spending more time in my craft room.  Here is my card for the OWH's Stars & Stamps Challenge #245

I started out with a sheet of paper that was part of a bundle of papers that I received as a gift.  That is the paper on the tag and the horizontal piece of paper is the reverse side of that designer paper. The background paper was another sheet in that bundle.  The circle was made by stamping a background stamp from SU and then stamping the sentiment on top.I then sponged Crumb Cake ink to age it a bit.    This idea was cased from my dear friend Carol  http://ourlittleinspirations.blogspot.com/2014/12/one-for-mom.html.  One can always learn something interesting from Carol.  The ribbon is Very Vanilla from SU! and I added a silver dot which at first I thought was a little big, but it started to grow on me, so it is staying.  I feel I could use as an Any Hero card or one for a Hero to send home.  I'll decide that after.  I wish each and every one of you a very Happy New Year.  I know it is a busy time and I thank you so much for taking the time to pop in for a visit.   See you soon (next year).

Baseball Anyone?

I found some time to play in my craft room this afternoon and this is what I came up with.  This is a Sherri Baldy image that I colored with my Copics.

As you  can see I made a dotted background and added some banners and a sentiment from Gina K's Vertical Greetings set.  I stamped it with Versa Mark and embossed it in Detail White. The background paper was in my stash and the even though it looks black the card stock is Basic Grey from SU!  A added a few stickers and that was about it for this one.  This is another one for my next  CFHK box. Wishing you all a great evening and a Happy New Year if I don't get back here again before then.  I'm going to try, but somehow things don't usually end up the way I plan.  Maybe that should be a New Year's resolution - plan better.

Deedee's Closing Party

Hope your holidays were enjoyable. Unfortunately during the holiday season Deedee Anderson received news about the new (yucky) European Tax Laws which are forcing her, and some other  companies, to have to close their digi stores.  She is hosting her last challenge starting today and what a fun challenge it will be.  You WILL want to participate because Deedee is generously offering a $10.00 coupon to her store for everyone who enters plus you will be entered into a random drawing for a $50.00 coupon to her store.  Can you imagine, you will have tons of Deedee's digis to play with and use for a long, long time.   "A Going Out Of Business Party" of sorts.  I, for one, will be very sorry to see Deedee's store close but it does not mean I have to stop using her images.  I will continue to use her darling images forever. If you play along with us you will have enough images to do the same.    So please hop on over to Deedee's Page and have some fun with benefits.  Let's support Deedee and show her just how much we all care.

Here is a card I made with this precious set titled "Ice Fishing".  There are tons of ways to go with this set, here is the way I went.

I used one of the pre-colored images as well as one of the sentiments from this newest set.  It's a pretty simple card, but one I hope will put a smile on a hospitalized child's face.  I just added some drawn lines in both black and white, some hearts and a double colored border with a SU! punch. The paper is from a DCWV winter pack and the card stock is SU! Pacific Point Blue.   That's about it from me today.  Thanks so much for your visit and please show Deedee some love by also visiting her and playing along with this last challenge of hers.  I'd love to see a remarkable turn out for this challenge and put a smile on Deedee's face also.  Have a wonderful day.  Happy New Year!

Just Because

Happy Saturday Afternoon.  I hope you all had wonderful holidays and are ready for another year.  I hope this one doesn't fly by as fast as the last one.  I found that I had a few minutes to spare this afternoon so I went ahead and made a card.     The other day my dear friend, Carol, mentioned that some times we don't know what to do with designer paper that has a picture on it.  Well she came up with a beautiful card using the picture on her paper. You can see it here.   I vowed to do the same thing and I had some lovely papers that I believe I got a while ago from Carol so I went ahead and got to work.

The striped paper is the back side of the focal paper.  I used Bravo Burgandy card stock which is retired from SU!, but I did hoard a few pieces of it. The sentiment is also retired from SU!.   I was going to add some gems but then I decided this could make a good masculine card, so the gem gems went right back to their resting place for today.  I'm kind of happy with how this one turned out.
I would like to thank you for stopping in and wish you all a great, restful weekend.  See you soon.

Merry Christmas Daddy

Happy Sunday Afternoon, I just thought I'd pop in to share a card I made for my Hubby.  This card is from his little girls (my Blog Babies).  I wasn't happy with the Copic combo I used to get the "gold" color on the sleigh but I think he'll overlook that.  It looks totally different in this photo.  In real life it does look more like gold, but still not to my liking.  Well everything can't come out the way we what it to or we'd never learn from repeat trying.

We had about 1/2 inch of snow last night and it looked so pretty this morning.  I wish we could have that Wednesday night also, but it looks like we are in for a lot of rain instead of the white stuff.  Well I'll enjoy it while it is here.  I can enjoy it because the roads are nice and clear, just the trees and lawns are covered.  Wishing you all a great Sunday afternoon and evening.  Thanks a bunch for taking the time to stop by for a visit.  See you all soon.

Happy Owl-idays

Good Thursday morning to all of you.  Hope you are all doing good this week before Christmas.  I'm trying to get my last few cards done for our grand children.  This one is for my DGD.

I used Deedee Anderson's Happy Owl-idays which I think is just as sweet as can be.  I went with non-traditional colors on this one just to be different. This is the pre-colored version, but it also comes in a line drawing so you can color it yourself, as most all of Deedee's sets come.  I truly appreciate the pre-colored version this time of year and I just adored the colors on this one.   The background paper and the sentiment are both retired SU! products. I embossed the sentiment with Detail White embossing powder then added a few pink sequins which put the final feminine touch to it.

I wish you all a terrific, hopefully, crafty day.  See you soon and thanks a bunch for stopping by.

A Girly Hello

Hi  -  I'm here with a card I made for Cards For Hospitalized Kids.  I usually color this image in boys colors but this week I decided to color one up for a girl.  I really love this image and it is a fun one to color up.
I added a couple of banners and some brads and was done.  I take a "Backgrounds Class" with Marie Gamber over at  My Creative Classroom and this was one of the challenges Marie gave us this week: Use different size dots.  So this was my entry for this challenge.  I'm kind of happy with the way it turned out.    Thanks for visiting - see you again soon.

Deedee's December DOM

Good Monday Afternoon.  I completely enjoyed my weekend and I'm hoping all of you did also.
Happy - Brr Day is the title of Deedee's newest Digi set and today starts the new  DOM challenge.  This digi is offered at a reduced price for the month of December and if you purchase it this month and play along with us you will received next month's digi completely free.  Click above and head on over to Deedee's to see all of the details.    This is a darling set and I found I could do a lot of different things with it other than a birthday card.  Here are the cards I made for it.

With this first card I reduced the images and placed them close enough so that it appears that they are holding hands while skating. I thought this might make a good anniversary card.

For my second card I gave our lady skater a polka dotted sweater and used one of the sentiments included with the set.

On my third card I gave our boy skater a striped shirt and again, used the same sentiment from this set.

This is a very versatile set that you can have a lot of fun with.  Don't miss out on the reduced price of this set and maybe spend some time checking out the store to see all of the other sets Deedee's store has to offer.  Thanks for stopping by today, I appreciate the visit.

Just A Card

Hi All, Hope you are all doing well on this chilly Friday.  I'll take chilly without any complaints.  I feel so bad for the people in the Upstate NY area.  I'm keeping them in my thoughts and prayers.    Our youngest daughter, Alli, is coming home tomorrow for the Holiday week and I wanted to make her a  "Welcome Home" card.  This card comes along with a cute little story, or at least I think it is cute.
I was going through  images over at Sherri Baldy's store and came across this one and I just had to have it.  When our two youngest girls were very young someone took a picture of them and in that picture both of them had knee socks on each one of them had one sock up and one sock all scrunched down.  So when I saw this this image with the "one sock down" I just had to have it.  Alli also had a hat on in the picture that was probably her great-grandmothers'.  No where cute as this hat, but a hat all the same.

I got to coloring it up with my Copics right away.  I tried to use similar colors to what the girls had on in their picture. I had so many different colors going on here that I really had a hard time figuring out what color to use as the background, but I think it came out all right with the green.    I decided not to put a sentiment on the front of the card as I thought it would look too busy.    So here is my card for the day along with my story.
Thanks so much for paying me a visit and I am hoping you all have a fun weekend.

W2SB - Gratitude & Kindness

I'm here with a card I finally got around to making for the W2SB challenge which, this month, is Gratitude and Kindness.  I had this image colored for eons so I pulled it out and then had the bright idea to do a background for it.  My image was done on watercolor paper so I decided to use some Sparkling H2O-S for the background as well as a Sharpie White Pen and a Copic Marker.   I'm not happy with how it came out, but I'm going to have to live with it because the end of the month is coming fast and I really wanted to be able to enter a card into this challenge.  I love to play along with W2SB but was not able to for the last 4 months, so I desperately wanted to start again this month.

I already stopped by W2SB and saw all the entries and the DT's card and they are all fabulous, so why don't you take a minute to stop over there and hopefully you'll join in on the fun.

I think this is a retired SU! image, but to tell you the truth I don't know for sure.  The papers and card stock are by SU! and the sentiment is by Gina K Designs.  The small flower was made with a MS punch and I added a pearl drop for the center.  As you can see I rounded the corners on the top just for a different look.

I'm wishing you all a great day today and want to thank you for taking the time to visit.

OWH Mid Month ThrowDown

Hi I'm here today with a card I made for OWH's Mid Month Throwdown which was to make a winter Love card.  Love cards are my favorite to make to I hopped right on this one.

My image is from SNSS and is colored with Copics.  The background paper is from a winter pack from DCWV and the Card Stock is Night Of Navy by SU!.  The little blue heart is from the SU! Owl Punch and the two red hearts are negatives from a MS Heart Border Punch.  I added some Glossy Accents to his little nose and the hearts.  The Sentiment is from the Gina K Designs "Love Notes" set.  It's one of my go to sets for love cards. My final touch was Chunky White Fran-tage.  We may get a dusting of snow within the next day or so and we are also in for some very cold weather.  I was going to wish you all a nice warm day where ever you are, but I don't think there is much chance of that seeing as how most of the 48 states have temps. below normal this week.  I guess winter is really here.
Thank you for popping in.

Snowman Soup

I am back with another card I made up today using Deedee Anderson's "Snowman Soup".    Deedee is generously offering this set free until this Friday, November 21st.  This is a precious little set and it's FREE so it just doesn't get any better than that.
(Please don't mind my picture- my camera's battery died in the middle of taking pictures and I wanted to post this one tonight, so we are stuck with a crooked looking card )

As usual with Deedee's sets they come pre-colored or line drawing so you can color yourself.  I decided to do my own coloring with my Copics today.  My paper and card stock are both retired from SU! and I cut the image out with SB circle and scallop circle dies, sponging around the circle die.  I also added some Fran-tage for snow.  The sentiment, which comes with this set, was cut with my wavy cutter.  The corner treatments was done with a retired SU! corner punch.  Four gems were my finishing touch on this one.  We MAY get a little more of the white stuff Monday night into Tuesday morning so this seemed like the perfect card to make today.  I wish you all a great evening and I hope to see you all again soon.  Thanks for stopping by, I always enjoy the company and comments.

Happy Thanksgiving

Well here I am after a couple of months.  I was very sick with several different health issues, one right after the other, but I am back among the living now, Thank Goodness.  I am very glad to be able to start crafting again and I wanted to make a card with this beautiful image by DeeDee. This image and sentiment are both from the Bounteous Blessing set found here.   I just love this image and I was so happy that I finally felt like coloring so I used the line drawing, but it does come pre-colored if you'd prefer.  There are also some wonderful other sentiments included in this set also.  I think it would be worth it for you to hop on Deedee's shop over to take a look.

I colored this one with my Copics and then cut it out with SB square die after running my trusty Gold Pen around the inside edge of the die.  I cut the ends of the sentiment pieces and added a couple of cute little stickers.  The papers are retired SU!.  That's about it - I had a lot of fun coloring and it went together very quickly, so now I'm off to try some more coloring.  YAY!!!!!  I'm wishing you all a great weekend.  It is quite cold around here today and is expected to stay that way for the next week so I'll be staying inside and that just means more craft time.

Deedee's Fall Warm Up

Happy Monday Morning , Hope you all had a fun weekend.   I thought I'd pop in this morning with another card that I put together with one of the images from Deedee's September Digi Of The Month set.

I used a pre-colored image from this set, but colored over some spots with Copic Markers because my printer is acting up these days and will not give me a good vibrant copy of my digi's.  I cut it out with a SB's A2 Polka Dot die.  I sponged around the edges with SU's Certainly Celery before I removed it from the die.  I backed it up with black card stock and matted all that on to SU's Cherry Cobbler card stock.  I added some little gems, that I've had for years,  in the corners and a strip of them under my image.  I think I got them at JoAnn's, but not positive.  On the inside I used one of the sentiments from this set which reads "Friendship is like a cup of cider: It warms your heart!"   I just love that sentiment.  Well thanks for stopping by and hope you have a fun, crafty week ahead.

A Flowery Thanks

Good Sunday morning to all.  Hope your weekend has been going good.  It is very humid here in the Northeast, but they are calling for more pleasant weather tomorrow.  I hope they are right.  I wanted to make a card for my friend and this is what I came up with.  This is the first thing I've colored all summer long and it appears that I need to shading on my flowers.  I'll do that before I send it out.
Both the image and the sentiment are by a Gina K Designs set titled Vertical Greeting & Things. The hearts are negatives from a MS border punch and the paper was in my stash so I'm not sure who it is by.  The image is cut out with a SB rectangle die and I ran my trusty gold pen along the inside border before removing the paper.  I've cropped this picture on an angle so now the whole card looks crooked.  Well I wish you all a great Sunday and upcoming week.  Thanks a bunch for stopping in for a visit.

Fall Warm Up

Hello Everyone - I've missed all of you so very much.   I won't bore you with the all the details but I have just gone through the worst month with an injury to my foot and back followed by the flu and then Cellulitis from a spider bite.   For one solid month I hardly left my bed but I am glad to be up and around now.  I still have days that find me very tired.  I can only hope I will be able to make regular appearances here from today forward.  So on to my card.  I made this card for Deedee's Digi Of The Month challenge.  The title of this set is Fall Warm-Up.  Autumn is my favorite time of the year so I just fell in love with the set the minute I saw it.  I do hope you will hop on over to Deedee's site and check out this set today.  Of course if you played along in last month's challenge you have already received this set FREE.  Can't beat that for a deal!
My health has improved  but not my picture taking so I have to apologize for this picture.  This image is so much brighter in real life but I can't seem to capture the rich colors here.  Sorry!
As you can see, I matted both the image and sentiment with black and green.  My background paper is from my stash and I do know that I have had it for maybe 7 years.  I punched out some hearts from a MS heart border punch and then I added some gems from Pizzazz APlenty on the hearts and on both the panels.  This card went together so nice and quick which is what I love about Deedee's sets.

I thank you for popping in for a visit and hope to see some of your creations made with this set.  Wishing each of you a very special day.

Christmas In July

Happy Saturday Everyone.  I'm here with a quick post to share a card I made with one of Deedee's Digi Images found here.  I just adore this set.  It is one of Deedee's newer sets.

As usual with Deedee's sets this set comes in line drawing or a pre-colored version which I used today.  I shadowed all around the image with a Copic Marker and then added some Dazzling Diamonds to his little hat brim and puff as well as to the top of the hanging stocking.  This does not show up very well in my photo but it really adds a little pizzazz in person.  The paper is from my stash and I just added a gold snowflake also from my stash.  The sentiment is an older, retired one from SU.  I  matted everything with SU's Real Red.
This was nice card to whip on on a busy weekend.   Thanks so much for stopping by for a peek.  Hitting the outdoors now, too nice to be inside.  Enjoy your weekend.

Birthday Wishes

Don't everyone out there faint but I've finally made a card after three whole weeks.  WHEW!!!!!
I needed to make a birthday card so I finally got myself and a tiny bit of my friend, Mr.Mojo, to sit down along side of me and came up with this card.

I know you are saying to yourself "boy that background looks familiar" and you are right.  I made a card several weeks back using this line/dot backdrop, but I just couldn't help myself.  I did mention that ONLY a LITTLE bit of Mr. Mojo joined me this morning so when I decided this image and sentiment (both from Gina K Designs) needed something other than sponging, I went with something I knew only because neither Mr. MoJo nor myself could not come up with anything new and exciting.
Well off to run a big bunch of errands today.  The humidity finally lifted a bit so I think I should take advantage of this beautiful day to get things done.  Thank you so very much for stopping by for a visit.  Wishing you a beautiful, sunny, fun day.

Would Love To Have Your Help

Hello, dear blogging friends.

One of our blogging-paper-crafting-friends, Sue Drees, recently shared some sad news.

Her sister, Edith, fell on June 22, and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. On June 25, the tumor was successfully removed. However, the biopsy brought back devastating news - a fast growing Brain Cancer. Sue's sister is determined to fight this all the way. She began physical rehabilitation on July 4.

Sue and Edith both live in the North East (USA). Sue and her husband transport Edith's husband to the hospital each day and check up on changes and quality of care.

While Sue did not ask for help, others kept in touch with her and asked if Edith would enjoy receiving cards of encouragement and support.

Sue was so grateful that the on-line community might help in this way - it was something she had not considered.

Edith enjoys quilting and LOVES flowers! Edith's beloved fur baby is a little pug and they miss each other very much.
Will you please consider sending a note, tag, or card (or two or three?) offering encouragement? Edith valiantly fights other illnesses in addition to this new challenge. She is a very courageous soul.

Cards can be sent addressed to Edith c/o Sue Drees and she will take them daily to the hospital.

To obtain the mailing address, please write:

Thank you for making a difference in one person's life, by bringing in a little sunshine.

If you'd like to post this information on your own blog, feel free to copy and paste it into a post.  The more people we reach, the more cards will be there to encourage Edith in her fight.  And if you believe in the power of prayer, add Edith to your daily prayers.  I'm keeping her in mine.  :-D

OWH - MWT

Quick post today.  Over at Operation Write Home  they are looking for Any Hero Cards with a flag on them.  Here is my card.
As you can see I went with a House Mouse little guy hanging onto his flag for dear life.  I used a stencil for the stars and embossed the Crumb Cake back ground with a Swiss Dot folder.  I just stamped the vertical greeting from Gina K Designs in VeraMark, embossed it in white and cut it out with a SU label punch.   A couple of little stickers and I was done.  Wishing you all a great July 4th and weekend.  Unfortunately we are expecting a lot of rain from Hurricane Arthur which will put a big damper on a lot of the city's festivities.  At least it is just rain and not bad winds and such.   Thanks for taking a minute out of your day to visit.  See you again soon.

HMFMC #173 Anything Goes

Happy Monday Morning - I'm here today with a card for House Mouse & Friends Challenge found here.
Our fabulous team mate Lorraine picked our theme as Anything Goes which makes it very easy to come up with a card for this one.  No pressures at all.  Here is my card.
I've had this stamp titled "Bunny Bath" for a while but I haven't been doing much coloring of late so I could not wait to get started coloring this one up.  It is colored with Copics and I made a line/dotted backdrop for it. It is cut out with SB dies as you can see. The paper is from a long time retired SU paper pack.  My sentiment is from Gina K Designs and the corner treatments were made with a punch by SU.  The flowers were punched out a little punch that has no name on it.  A couple of pearl drops in the center of the flowers and I called it a day.
Won't you stop by and join in on the fun over at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge. We'd love to see your cards or projects.

OWH Challenge Sketch #230

Good Monday Afternoon.  Hope you are all having a fantastic day.  Experiencing another perfect day here in the Northeast.  I'm here today with my entry for the OWH Sketch challenge found here.

As you can see I deviated from the sketch a bit, but what else is new for me?  All the papers are from the SU! Sweet Sorbet packet.  The sentiment is from a Cuttlebug die and the gems are from Recollections.  This was a pretty simple and quick sketch  for me and I loved working with it.
That will do it for me for today.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon .

Stay Cool

Good Wednesday morning.  It is suppose to be very hot and humid here today so I thought I'd make a card to depict our weather.

I used a pre-colored image from Deedee Anderson that you can find here at Deedee's Digis.    This amazing set comes with both pre colored and lined versions of a couple of darling images as well as sentiments and digi papers.  I needed to make quick card so I just printed out both the image and sentiment mounted them on black card stock and b/g paper from my stash, punched the bottom with a MS punch and added a few gems from Pizzazz Aplenty .  Nice, quick and easy!!!!!  Thanks for your visit. I always appreciate the company.  Wishing you a great day.  See you soon.

ODBD June

Hi there, wow two posts in two days.  I'm on a roll!!!!!  I wanted to share a card I made for the June ODBD Challenge found here.  They have asked for cards using punches or dies.

I used a Sizzix heart die twice and layered one one top of the other. As you can see I did emboss the green heart with a Heart folder.   The paper was from my stash and the sentiment is by Studio G that I picked up at Michaels a few years ago.  I just added some back gems and a rhinestone and I was done.
I love these kinds of cards that I can get done quickly.  I see multiples of this one coming in the future.
Thanks for taking a peek here in my little corner of the world and I'm wishing you a wonderful day.  Hopefully see you soon.

OWH Sketch #229

I have been MIA for a while but I finally got a chance to make a card for this week's sketch challenge over at OWH.  Here is my card.

The flower stamps and the punches are from SU! and the background paper is from The Christmas Tree Shop.  I did a very simple coloring job with Copics.  The sentiment, which I divided, is by Simply Stamped.  I've had this stamp for probably 5 years and only used it one other time before today.  I chomped the top corner and I was done.  I liked working with this sketch very much so I think I'll be using it often.   Wishing you a very nice week ahead and I would like to thank you for taking the time from your day to stop by for a visit.  Hopefully I'll get back into making some cards soon.

Deedee's DOM challenge

Good Monday Morning.  I'm here with a quick post to let you know that Deedee's Digi Of The Month Challenge for June begins today.  If you played along last month your have already received this set and if not no need to worry you can buy into this progressive challenge for a tiny bit of money this month.  I'm posting this card I made, but I plan on making another one during the week because I just adore this set.

This was so quick and easy to put together because I used the pre-colored image from the "Life's A Beach" set.  You've got to check this out, it is just fabulous.  My printer is acting up on me this week, co I had to add a bit of color because everything I print is coming out dull and we could not have this pretty little lady looking dull now could we?  The sentiment is also from the same set.  My paper is from my stash and I just punched a piece of card stock with the Word Window punch from SU! and cut it in half and adhered three stickers to each one and I was done.   Won't you stop by and join us?  We'd love to have you.

Thanks for stopping by today -  I'll be back later on today or tomorrow.  Whatever you have planned for today, I hope you enjoy.

W2SB - Oh, The Places You'll Go

Good Sunday Morning to all of you.  It promises to be a beautiful day today here in southeast Ma.
I'm here this morning with my card for the Words 2 Scrap By #6 Challenge  titled "Oh, The Place You'll Go"! which is the titled of one of Dr. Seuss's books.
I picked this new pre-colored image and sentiment by DeeDee Anderson  at Deedee's Digis, my papers are retired from SU!  I sponged the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.   It was a nice quick card to put together.    It picked this image  because Hubby and I just took our first little vacation of the summer and we went camping, so I thought this was perfect for this challenge. The Dr. Seuss book's focus is on the journey and maybe some problems that may occur along the journey, which is fine.   Hubby and I are now both retired so we purchased a motor home  (our new beginning) to travel to different parts of this beautiful country so I have to admit we did not camp in a tent this time. We love tent camping and have done it for years but our bones are getting a bit too old for that so we upgraded.  LOL
Our first journey was one pretty close to home (Hubby called it our shake down cruise) to see what we may have forgotten or needed.  I have to tell you that I only forgot two kitchen items, a whisk and a folding stool, both of which we did fine without.   I will take a minute and tell you I was quite proud of myself this time, usually I forget tons of things, which always makes life interesting for us and gives us something to laugh about.  I really enjoyed the theme for this challenge and ask that any of you visiting me today head on over to W2SB to support Bobbi & Sybrina and maybe enter a card there.  You won't be sorry, I promise.    Thanks for popping in here and wishing you all a fabulous day.

Hats Off To You

Good Friday Morning - I'm here with a big announcement.  Deedee's new store is now open for business.    As most of you Deedee followers know, Diane Noble of Diane's Daydream Designs has been graciously selling Deedee Anderson's image in her store for a while now and still will carry some of her designs, but Deedee has opened her new store as of last night.

Hooray for Deedee!!!!! Hats off to her.
In honor of the new store opening Dee is offering a Darling Freebee and a big discount  for purchases made during the month of June.  I would like to encourage any of my followers to please take a minute to stop by and support Deedee and her new store.  You will certainly have a ball strolling through her store and find her prices very, very reasonable.  Remember that most of Deedee images come pre-colored as well as  line version so you can do your own coloring, and she also includes sentiments in her sets.

For my card today I went with the pre-colored version and just added a couple of different papers, two tiny star brads and in no time at all,  I had a wonderful card that I will be sending to one of our American Heroes serving in the military.
Well I have to run for now, busy day planned, but I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by.  Enjoy your day and go shopping.

Mid Week Throw Down

Hi All, this week over at OWH their mid week throw down is to make a card with pink and grey or black.  Here is my card.
My colors are off in this picture but this is grey (Basic Grey by SU!)  and the pink hat is lighter than it appears.  I just colored the SNSS image with Copics and used retired papers from SU! also.  The sentiment was punched out with a retired SU! punch and the gems are by Pizzazz APlenty.  That is about all there is to say about this card.  I do hope you all are enjoying your evening.  Kind of easy peasy.  Thanks for dropping by, hope to see you again soon .

A Spring TimeThank You

Hi everyone.  Hope your weekend went without any hitches.  Ours was nice and quiet with just the normal home and yard duties, oh yes, and our only grand daughter turned 21 Sunday. Whew where did those year go to?
I'm here today with a thank you card that I made with one of Deedee's set titled Ladybug Hugs which you can find here.

I used the pre-colored version but then went over the flowers a little bit with my Copics because I was in a half hearted mood to color, so this seemed ideal, just do a little touch up coloring job.  I also added some Glossy Accents to the flower center just for that added pop.  This set comes with many great sentiments, but I used a retired SU! sentiment this time because I wanted a one line sentiment that would run across the bottom of the card.    The paper is from Christmas Tree Shop.

Many thanks to you for taking the time to stop by today.  I have been lax in my postings of late but I am trying to keep up with commenting and I hope I haven't missed anyone but if I have I apologize.  Wishing you all a great Tuesday.

OWH Sketch #226

Happy Memorial Day to all.  I hope you have some nice plans for the day.  It's a little gloomy here right now, but it is suppose to brighten up as the day goes on.  I'm here with my entry for the OWH Sketch Challenge #226 found here.

I used one of Deedee's newer images which come in both lined and pre-colored.  My sentiment is also from this set.  I found this to be a great set for different summer holidays as well as for an Any Hero Card for OWH or even a birthday card for any member of our armed forces past or present.  I added a few gems from Pizzazz APlenty  Not too much else to say about this one except that I am pleased with how it came out and will be making more of these to go in my next OWH box. Just noticed that I am still having problems photographing cards, as I see my gems are very blurry.  I don't think I'll even understand this whole photography thing.   Wishing you all a great day today and thank you for stopping by.

HMFMC Mid Way Reminder

Happy Monday - I'm here with my mid week reminder card for House Mouse & Friends Challenge #169 Sunny Days.  Our teamie Sue Drees picked this fun theme for us.  Sometimes there is nothing better than taking a little nap on a sunny day and wouldn't life be grand if we could do that atop a beautiful flower? I think so. Here is my card.

This image is titled Napping On A Thistle, colored with Copics.  I punched the top and bottom with an older scallop punch from SU!.  The paper is from a pack I got at Christmas Tree Shop.  I just added some thin black strips and some gems and called it a day.  Won't you stop by the House Mouse & Friends main page to get some wonderful inspiration from my team mates.  You could also win some terrific prizes.

Tuesday Morning Sketch #248

Good Tuesday Evening to all.  Today is the first time I have had the change to play along with Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge.  I do hope to be able to play on a regular basis as this looks to be a very nice challenge.    Deedee Digi's is sponsoring this challenge, so one additional reason to play along this week.    Here is my card.

I used the pre-colored image and sentiment from one of Deedee's newer sets titled "Greatest Joy" which made this card a breeze to put together.  The paper is by SU! (retired) and I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Jolie candy dots were my finishing touches.  I love the sketch and I think I'll be making quite a few cards with it.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

HMFMC #169 Sunny Days

Happy Monday Morning.  My card today is for a new challenge at House Mouse & Friends.  Our talented Teamie, Sue has picked "Sunny Days" as our theme.  Here is my card.
My image and my sentiment are both from the same pack titled "Summer Drinks".  Pink lemonade is always good on a nice summer day.    I colored my image with Copics and then dotted around the main panel with a Sharpie Paint Pen. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Detail White powder.   My card stock and designer paper are all from SU!.  I made a double layered bow with my envelope punch and a silver candy dot by Jolie.  The ribbon started out white and was colored with markers to match the paper (it matches better in real life- my photography problems again).  I am hoping you will play along with us this week - I'd love to have a lot of people to visit and you will also have three chances to win a prize  - so come over to the sunny side of the street and play with us, please!
