Happy Thanksgiving

Well here I am after a couple of months.  I was very sick with several different health issues, one right after the other, but I am back among the living now, Thank Goodness.  I am very glad to be able to start crafting again and I wanted to make a card with this beautiful image by DeeDee. This image and sentiment are both from the Bounteous Blessing set found here.   I just love this image and I was so happy that I finally felt like coloring so I used the line drawing, but it does come pre-colored if you'd prefer.  There are also some wonderful other sentiments included in this set also.  I think it would be worth it for you to hop on Deedee's shop over to take a look.

I colored this one with my Copics and then cut it out with SB square die after running my trusty Gold Pen around the inside edge of the die.  I cut the ends of the sentiment pieces and added a couple of cute little stickers.  The papers are retired SU!.  That's about it - I had a lot of fun coloring and it went together very quickly, so now I'm off to try some more coloring.  YAY!!!!!  I'm wishing you all a great weekend.  It is quite cold around here today and is expected to stay that way for the next week so I'll be staying inside and that just means more craft time.

  1. Donna, I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to see your card this morning! I know you've had a horrible ordeal the last few months and it's so nice to see you back.
You sure didn't lose any of your skills while away either! The coloring on that image is just sensational and love, love, love this beautiful card for fall!

  2. This is a fabulous card Donna, I love your beautifully coloured image and your gold frame is perfect.
I'm sorry to hear that you have been very poorly, I hope you are fully recovered.

  3. Hi Donna!! I feel so happy that you are cardmaking again!! I have really missed that and knowing what you have had to deal with, well..........I just can't tell you how happy I am! Your card is gorgeous and such a great Thanksgiving card!! Cold here too and we are getting snow today. Have a great weekend!!
    Hugs from your friend!

  4. I'm so sorry to hear that you have been having a lot of health issues Donna, will keep you in my prayers!! Glad that you are doing better though, good enough to craft some and do some Copic coloring!! I love, love this image from Deedee's digis, you have colored it up so beautifully. The SU DP paper is just perfect with this image. The black makes it all pop and pulls the eye right into the card. Enjoy getting crafty, you have earned it!! Hugs, Brenda

Please stay well now and take good care of yourself! (((hugs))) and welcome back to blogland!

  8. This is a wonderful holiday image, and yay for you in coloring - your copics did it up proud. Love the way you've presented the image on this pretty card. So glad you're feeling back in the swing, once again. Don't overdo! Hugs & TFS

  9. Absolutely stunning, Donna! Using the gold pen is a fantastic idea. It just spotlights that marvelous image. I do hope the health issues are resolved and that you're going to be posting again regularly. I had 10 days of strep throat recently and thought that was the end of the world. You've really had a long bout of everything. Prayers for you to stay healthy now. :-D

  10. Love this, have a beautiful horn of plenty that I used to put out this time of year, must look for that. Great colors and a perfect card for the Thanksgiving holiday.
